(FADE-IN: A camera is following King Krusher down the same hallway that Manson used earlier to get to Mr. Impossible. K.K. opens the door to the trainer's room and we see Mr. Impossible getting his hand taped by a GLCW physician. He grimaces in pain but he seems to be taking it well)
KING KRUSHER: "What's the story, Jim?"
JIM THE PHYSICIAN: "I'm not sure yet K.K., we're gonna have to take him to the hospital for X-rays to make sure. It might be broken."
K.K.: "Marvelous. Make sure he's taken care of."
(K.K. storms off down the hall and makes a few turns and barges right into one of the locker rooms where Michael Manson is toweling himself off after the match)
K.K.: "You didn't waste any time, did you? You just couldn't wait to start your B.S.! You think I wasn't ready for your crap?! Answer me!"
(Manson just stares blankly at him, as if he is bored with the whole scene)
K.K.: "Fine, keep your mouth shut then! It's better that way anyway! But guess what? Whatever medical bills are charged to fix up Mr. Impossible are coming straight out of your check! And you keep this up, you won't get any checks period! Do I make myself clear??"
(Manson continues to stare blankly)
K.K.: "Oh to hell with this!"
(K.K. storms out, obviously frustrated. Manson pushes the cameraman out and slams the door. CUT-TO: Matt Faley in the middle of the ring)
MATT FALEY: "Ladies and gentlemen, in our next GLCW Heavyweight Title Tournament match, coming to the ring," (CUE-UP: "Predictable" by Korn) "From Parts Unknown, weighing in at 320lbs., he is TEKO!!"
(The crowd pops a bit at the sight of the muscular wrestler, but most of the crowd doesn't know who he is)
M.F.: "And his opponent," (CUE-UP: "The Final Countdown" by Europe) "From Seattle, Washington, weighing in at 260lbs., THE EMERALD WARRIOR!! He is accompanied by Warren A. Nickolson!"
(The crowd mostly pops as the Emerald Warrior walks to the ring with his manager Nickolson, wearing long green tights with black and green face paint. He slaps a few hands on his way down)
TONY ROSS: "Here are two more newcomers in the form of Emerald Warrior and Teko! Both of these men are in great shape and very muscular, but we'll see how they fare in the ring!"
RICK WISEMAN: "The Emerald Warrior is an ex-Seattle firefighter who has decided to try his fortunes in the ring! He certainly has the look of a superstar, but can he back it up in the ring?"
T.R.: "Teko is the larger of the two men and he calls for a test of strength! Warrior locks up and takes him over with a throw! That took some power to get the big man over! Teko is not happy with that as he gets up and rushes the Warrior but he ducks out of the way and Teko runs head first into the turnbuckles and steel post!! Ouch! Warrior with a quick rollup!! 1.....2.....3!! Holy cow, and it's over like that! Emerald Warrior with the stunningly quick win here over Teko!! And Teko is furious and rushes him and gets an explosive powerslam for his troubles!! Wow!!"
R.W.: "The Emerald Warrior certainly didn't take long in dispatching Teko here in Detroit, but his next opponent will be Michael Manson, and there's no way Manson is going to be beaten that quick!"
T.R.: "Warren Nickolson is in the ring and he raises the Warrior's arm in victory as the fans cheer him on! The Emerald Warrior will advance to face Manson in the quarterfinals, and you are right Rick, that will not be a pushover! Fans, let's take it back to our backstage interviewer, Lady Veronica!"
(CUT-TO: A stunning brunette standing in front of a GLCW banner in the back. Although she is quite the eye-candy, she is not overly plastic like a so-called "diva". Her makeup isn't spackled on and her body is toned but not overly tan with natural firm breasts which are accentuated by her blue thin-strap dress. The fans audibly pop when they see her on the big screen.)
LADY VERONICA: "Thanks Tony! I just want to introduce myself to the fans and say hello, since a lot you remember me from the FWF. My name is Lady Veronica and I will be GLCW's "voice in the back" as I will conduct interviews before and after matches with the GLCW stars! Right now, I have with me the tag team of The High Plains Drifters! Guys, can I get some comments from you about your debut here in GLCW?"
(Dalton Parker and Kurt Rogers, the High Plains Drifters step in, attempting to look their most dignified. Parker stands at a little over 6 feet tall, but is just thin enough to look much taller. Kurt, while standing right next to Parker, looks like a solid brick. Parker looks to Kurt and back at the camera, while Kurt does the same. They can't decide which one is going to speak. This continues for several more seconds, until finally, Kurt holds out his hand in a fist. Parker does the same. They shake their fists three times, ending with Parker's hand in a fist (rock) and Kurt's hand in a "V" (scissors). Parker steps towards the camera.)
DALTON PARKER: "All right, now that we've wasted enough of your time... it's time for us to begin. We, as you can probably tell, are the High Plains Drifters. We're on a mission of returning order to the world of professional wrestling. Now, to do that, we're probably gonna have to crack a few skulls."
(In the background, Kurt is pantomiming cracking skulls. He moves up right behind Parker, to act out everything that is said.)
PARKER: "We've only got a few minutes to explain our mission of truth and justice and crackin' skulls, so I'll make it short and sweet. We were told to go on this mission by a monkey/platypus thing that was floating out on the plains. Not that we're from the Plains, we were just visiting. Kurt and myself, well, we're wanderers. When we were told by Sheriff Malec that we could help to purify Great Lakes Championship Wrestling, we were there in a second. Actually, it took us a while to get here, what with distance and all being a factor. But, that aside, we're here, and we're gonna crack some skulls!"
(Kurt motions "three" with his fingers and then does the cracking skulls motion again. Parker looks back and sees him doing it.)
PARKER: "Oh, fine, fine. I get it. Let's go, little man, it's time to find some skulls for crackin!"
(Parker turns to walk away while Kurt motions "four" with his fingers as Lady Veronica has an odd look on her face)
LADY V: "That was the High Plains Drifters! Fans, we will be right back after this word from your local station!"
(CUT-TO: A wide shot of the Cobo Hall fans before fading to commercial)
