"Okay, I haven’t done this in a while, Deacon… and, I was gonna start by telling you to bear with me. But, after witnessing your promo, something tells me you’ll understand more that I originally thought you would. Shame on me for assuming, right?"

fade- in:

The scene opened up directly in front of a CSWA backdrop, with a logo shining in the background. It wasn’t just any logo, in fact, it was a retro one, CSWA’s very first logo, from it’s very first show. Sean wondered if they were trying to rekindle any of the old magic that the CSWA of yester- year… before any of the bull**** politics… the month long breaks… back when CSWA was the most consistent federation on the planet, with top tier talent and shows…

…after thinking about it for a moment, he realized he didn’t care.

"And, contrary to what you may have been led to believe, big man… I’m not here to hype our match. It is what it is, and if you can’t get motivated about something the magnitude of this match-up, then there’s a good chance, you never really were a wrestling fan to begin with… or you’re mentally retarded. I never studied anything worthwhile in college, so I’ll be the last one to try and figure out who’s who and what’s what."

He was clad in a long sleeved, 'the Triple X show' t-shirt, black wrestling tights, blue 'X' on the front and rear, wrestling boots. His fists were taped, which told more of a tale than his backdrop ever could. That and the screams of men in the background. It was obvious he was in somebody’s gym, at a busy hour.

His hair was tied back into a pony- tail, with the ends braided into several tiny little twists. He sported a slight beard, shaped up to near perfection, and his sideburns was showing signs of connecting.

"But, what I can tell you is this, big man… times have changed. I respect who you are and what you’ve done, but who you are has nothing to do with who you were. You were an unbeatable CSWA World Heavyweight Champion… you beat Eli Flair in an intense match-up that should see you two going down as two of the greatest CSWA superstars of all time. But, that’s beside the point… all of that counts most, when you retire."

"Right now, you’re here… and, while once upon a time, you were the man… this big, tough, unbeatable champion… you’re not anymore. And, I won’t disrespect by using your battles with your diseases against you – I pulled for you to make it back to the squared circle and have no problems admitting it. What I’m referring to… is me, Deacon."

Stevens took two steps closer to the camera, making himself more visible.

"Look at me… I’m not the Greensboro level competitor I was when you ran wild down here. I’m not the loud mouth kid, afraid to acknowledge your existence, because you’re this larger than life hero. I’m your peer, Deacon. I’m just as much a threat as you ever were. I’m the best wrestler on the CSWA roster, and I got there by busting my ass in ways I’m sure you could understand, and respect."

"If you go into this match expecting little Sean Stevens, you’ll be beaten. If you prepare for this match in a fashion that you would normally, you’ll be beaten. Hell… let’s not sugar coat it, I’m better than you. And, while I do, in fact, respect you, I have no problems doing whatever needs to be done, to get the results I need to move on in this federation."

"I am Triple X, Deacon. Far better than you could ever imagine. Far more focused than I was when you stuck your nose in my business when I was scheduled to wrestle Mark Windham. You and I have never officially met, so at Primetime, it’ll be my pleasure to introduce myself. I just hope faith allows you to accept the inevitable."

Stevens stood there as the camera slowly faded away, until the only thing left… were the screams of the individuals in the background.
