I'd think of something snappier if I actually watched that show, Ray!
Anyway, here's the plan of action.
Right now, I have 10 teams tenatively set to go. This is assuming that Team NAPW drops out like they're indicating to me and that the second NFW team, the Cruise Family, doesn't materialize. If I end up getting 11 teams (ie, one of those teams materializes), then we'll do what we did last year and add an NPC team (RDJW, baby!). If I end up getting 12 teams, then we have an even number, divisible by 12, which is the best option.
If I end up with the status quo as I have right now, we'll have three divisions of three teams, and the FA team (which would have been complete if the WfWA guy didn't drop out last minute but will be getting a fourth member if it's the last thing I dooooo!) will be a floating team. What will happen is that there will be one meet within each group per week. The two of the three straggling teams will face off against each other in an inter-bracket match, and the third straggler will take on the floating FA team.
All this planning coming on at the last minute... next year I will do better.
