Want to be in on the ground floor of a nearly twenty - six year old tradition?
The CSWA was founded in 1988 as a "home" league, and made its transition to the Prodigy Classic online service in 1992, where it remained until permanently moving to the web in 1998 at Fantasywrestling.com (now relocated to FWrestling.com), better known as FW Central.
Plagued with delays and hiatuses for the past few years, the CSWA is back, under new ownership, and looking to move away from its past glory with a new direction, new stories, new characters, and a new attitude.
The CSWA is looking to restart its weekly run of shows on January 11th, 2014, so there's plenty of time to get on board as it races toward its twenty sixth anniversary on March 29, 2014.
One of the two people heading up the restart is one of the CSWA's co - founders, Chad Merritt, who also happens to be the owner of Fwrestling.com as well as the man paying the bills for E-Fed Guerillas radio. He's currently focused on getting the website completed, working out the coding issues, and day to day maintenance of the promotion itself.
The other is me. My name is Pete Russo, and I've been a CSWA member since 1995 and have been an admin on FW Central for the past decade. While this is my first foray into actually running a fed, I've been part of this game of ours for almost twenty years and have been able to see what does and doesn't work when it comes to running things. More recently, I was directly responsible for FW Central's 2012 Ultratitle tournament making it from Round 2 up to the end. I'm handling the cards, the organization, the storylines, and the actual content. I'm looking forward to doing something different with the CSWA this time around, and I need your help!
The website can be found here: http://www.thecswa.com
(Pardon our appearance, we're still getting the site up and going.)
The join form can be found linked from the main page of the site. Currently we're accepting singles and tags, faces and heels, but please note that we do not yet have an active tag team belt.
Who knows, if we get enough interested teams, that could top the list.
Hope to see you there!
And, as always, thanks for reading.
