Handler Information
Name: Randall Cullen
Email Address: rbooth9@gmail.com
Preferred Method of Handling: No preference
Best Way to Contact You: E-mail
eWrestling Experience: (What have you done? Where?) Honestly, I haven't done this in years. But when I did do it (maybe 10 years ago), I was extremely committed. I also wrote matches whenever necessary. I've always enjoyed the idea of creating and crafting a character. I'm a writer by trade, so I look forward to staying with this and keeping the writing and creativity flowing.
How did you find Defiance? Wikipedia
Writing Sample
[Backstage at Defiance, the camera zooms onto a man's handing tapping a pen against a table quickly.]
CLACK, CLACK, CLACK, CLACK
[The camera zooms out to find an unfamiliar face sitting in a chair next to the table. He's leaning onto the table while he taps the pen. A sheet of paper lies on the table. The man is shirtless, but he's wearing tight wrestling shorts. The well-built man continues to tap the pen, his eyes glazed over in deep thought.]
Uncle Jimmy:
Chance!
[The camera zooms out as an older, stout man walks through the dressing room door. The man at the table snaps out of his mindless glaze and turns to look at the man walking in.]
Chance Mason:
Hey, Uncle Jimmy. What's up?
Uncle Jimmy:
"What's up?" That's all you have to say? You're about to make your Defiance debut and you say, "What's up?" Why aren't you lifting some weights or getting psyched!
Chance Mason:
Oh, I'm all set with that. I'm just doing a little writing.
Uncle Jimmy:
What? Writing? What the hell are you writing minutes before a moment that will change your life?
Chance Mason:
Oh, nothing. Just, um, you know ... a little poetry.
[Uncle Jimmy drops his head into his hand with disgust.]
Uncle Jimmy:
Chance. Listen to me. You are literally minutes away from walking into the Defiance ring and putting thousands and thousands of fans into the palm of your hand. Your life is set to change. Hell, MY life is set to change. How could you be writing poetry at a time like this? You need to be doing jumping jacks or, or pushups! Yeah, that's what you need to do! Get excited, man!
Chance Mason:
I'm excited. I just use writing as a way to calm down a little bit.
Uncle Jimmy:
I don't want you calm, Chance.
[Uncle Jimmy puts his hand on Chance's shoulder.]
Uncle Jimmy:
You are Chance Mason. The next big thing. The game changer. The newest and brightest star in Defiance. I want you to get amped up. I want you to get excited. I want you to hit somebody!
[Uncle Jimmy slaps Chance on his back and flashes a big, salesman-like smile.]
Chance Mason:
Yeah, but I am a line or two away from finishing this sonnet. I think it's going to be really good. I think I might submit it for publication. Actually, no. It's not good enough. But I'll keep working on it.
[Once again, Uncle Jimmy puts his hand to his face and shakes his head will Chance looks back down at the sheet of paper.]
Uncle Jimmy:
Do me a favor, Chance. Focus on wrestling for right now. After we're all done -- after Defiance starts printing your t-shirts and gets you on that Twitter -- you can write a little poetry. How about tonight, when we head home? Does that sound good? Right now, though, it's wrestling. It's time to do what you do.
[Chance sighs and drops his pen.]
Chance Mason:
OK. I can do that.
Uncle Jimmy:
Good! Are you ready to get pumped up?!
Chance Mason:
I am pumped up.
Uncle Jimmy:
No you aren't! You just got done writing poetry. No man has ever been pumped up after writing poetry!
Chance Mason:
I'd be pumped up if you let me finish those two lines.
[Uncle Jimmy starts to laugh quietly.]
Uncle Jimmy:
I don't quite understand you, Chance. But the fact is, I never have. But I know one thing: You're an amazing wrestler. The best I've ever seen. I wouldn't be here with you -- pushing you! -- if I didn't think that. It's time to start this amazing chapter in our lives. Are you ready for this?
Chance Mason:
Yeah, I guess.
Uncle Jimmy:
No. You KNOW, Chance. You KNOW. Now let's go out there and get it done, huh? Let's show Defiance who Chance Mason is.
[Chance nods and Uncle Jimmy extends a hand. Chance shakes it and Uncle Jimmy flashes that big smile once more.]
Uncle Jimmy:
Let's go!
[Uncle Jimmy starts to push Chance out of the dressing room. They exit, shut the door behind them and the scene fades to black.]

Wrestler(s) Information
Ring Name: Chance Mason
Height: 6'3"
Weight: 220
Hailing From: Boston, Mass.
Alignment: Face
Gimmick: Chance Mason has no confidence. Zero. He is extremely talented and gifted, but you do not see it unless he is pushed to that point. If he wasn't guided to the ring by his manager, "Uncle Jimmy," he probably wouldn't be there. Uncle Jimmy knows how good he is, so he has to push his buttons to get Chance to unleash the pain. Even opponents, sometimes, can't push Chance enough to break out. Unlike any pro wrestler in history, Chance compliments his opponents on occassion, trying to avoid conflict at times. But there's always a point in a match when it finally "clicks" for Chance. That's when he's at his best and Uncle Jimmy, the fans and everyone else sees what he's truly capable of.
Wrestling Style: Chance is a timid wrestler when he steps into the ring, but he builds aggression as the match progresses. He flashes a mix of power and grappling technique. Like a well-warmed engine, Chance gets stronger, faster and holds his submissions much tighter as the match extends. You won't see him on the top turnbuckle or flying over the top rope, but you'll see him come close to snapping someone's back with a "Last Chance."
Three Weaknesses: Lacks confidence, bad on the mic, starts slow
Three Strengths: Intelligent, physically strong, fantastic ability to reverse opponent's moves
MOVESET
Ten regular moveset moves:
1) Arm bar into fireman's carry
2) DDT
3) Sleeper hold
4) Standard suplex
5) Backdrop
6) Headlock takeover
7) Back-hand chops
8) Neckbreaker
9) Russian leg sweep
10) Rapid knees to the gut
2-5 trademark moves:
1) German suplex
2) Flying clothesline (bouncing off the ropes)
3) Belly-to-belly suplex
4) Rings of Saturn
5) Swinging side slam
1 Finishing Move: "Last Chance," a Liontamer
1 "MDK" (murderdeathkill) Finishing Move (Optional): None
