The results of Vizier ta Seti (c) vs. Perfection for the Emerald City Championship will be revealed at Chain Reaction 9. After that, LOTS in the air in this Mystery Card line up. Additional RPs came from:

- Kerry Kuroyama
- Johnny Niles
- Leyenda de Ocho
- Spooky Doom
- The Minstrel
- Jake Evans
- Cecilworth Farthington

Who faces who? Who BEATS who?

Plus, potentially:

- What's next for Terry "The Idol" Anderson after he got an underaged Kerry Kuroyama wildly drunk during Surge?
- Courtney Allen may have long-term health issues after Surge. What's next for her, Derrick Allen and Scott Douglas?
- The Seattle Times revealed that an update on the High Intensity Tour is coming at CR9.

Discuss!

C-Fart vs Jake Evans in the battle between the 1% and the 99% until Evans starts fighting against his own interests and they join up to form the Jolly Well Bullocks Tea Party

Well *I* will try and actually make sense with my post....

Who knows what is in store for Jake.

I do think Ocho vs Spooky should happen with their trash talking in the thread.

The Minstrel looks really good, too. He is the only person I would hate to see Jake matches against in his debut.

Niles vs Farthington. No real reason, I just think it would be fun.

I know Brian has some great ideas up his sleeve. Looking forward to it.

I was approached to write the match involving Spooky Doom and declined. Once was enough. LOL

Regarding the title match, I predicted a long time ago that I thought Perfection would take the belt...it's been a long time since then but I still think that might be the case. Only a gut reaction.

There were lots of people who included "I don't know who I'm facing, but..." as part of their RP. I think Ocho vs Spooky is clearly there since we directed our RPs at each other, but the rest are random guesses. So, here they are, with sub-reasons why I'd guess they'd happen (with a very likely 0% accuracy count):

Kuroyama v. Niles v. Minstrel: Kuroyama's had a several-show quest on "beating everyone on the IWF roster on the way to the top of the card", and these two have been around IWF for a while now. I think Kuroyama might win this one by pinning Niles, but I like that Niles is starting to show some anger and depth when approached with the argument of "you say you're best in the world but you haven't won in the IWF yet". It's worth exploring, and could lead to some spectacular violence out of the character if he ever reaches a breaking point. The Minstrel is just awesome and would likely brutalize everyone after this match; the only reason I think he may not win is that he doesn't necessarily need the win to be devastatingly scary. Maybe a stepping point to a Kuroyama/Minstrel feud?

Farthington v. Evans: Two guys who would be making debut matches and I LOVE both characters. I think the savvy veteran Evans may win in this matchup, but it would be extremely competitive.

And then, Courtney Allen recovers as "Phoenix" from X-Men and is suddenly the most powerful force in all the IWF, laying both Scott Douglas and Derrick Allen to complete waste.

First, would like to thank everyone for their kind words regarding my work this week - glad, you guys are enjoying the character and equally importantly, "getting" the character.

As for this card, it's difficult to predict, when we don't have a hard-fast outline of the matches... But here are my guesses.

I think the Minstrel faces off against Niles. Really enjoyed, Niles this week moreso than in the past. I think the "best in the world, but have not won yet" angle is a good one and could take the character into a whole new and better place. I hope you stick with it and am anxious to see where it goes.

Kuroyama v. De Ocho v. Doom - I think Kerry gets placed into a triple threat match with two guys, who really do not like each other. I thought the work was really strong by all here, but the back and forth by de Ocho and Doom added an element, which needs to be explored further. Think Kuroyama takes this one via countout as De Ocho/Doom brawl outside the ring WITH the cavaet that Kuroyama could take the loss here if backstage gets involved b/c of his actions at Surge.

Farthington v. Evans - it seems like a natural match - was not crazy about Evans at first, but I've read the RP a couple of times now and have embraced the character especially since we do not have that type of guy here currently. Farthington provides ample competition and is a character, who provides a different twist to the current roster. Would give the edge to Evans although not by much. A welcome to both characters.

Fallout from Surge - not even going to try to guess, but I like the instability surrounding the fed right now IC (obviously, we are in very good hands OOC). Makes it a must-see show.

Thanks for the praise for my CR9 promo. I didn't really think about the "best in the world yet can't win a match" part, but now that I think about it it does sound like a good thing for Niles. It could be like the storyline the IWC proposed for Cena (the one where he goes on a slump until he finally has had enough). Wonder how long it'll take before I do win a match though...

Anyways, tough card to predict, though any card is tough to predict before-hand, isn't it?

Niles v. Kuroyama - Kuroyama adds another name to the list of guys he's beaten in the IWF, while Niles continues his slump. (I'm betting against my own character, wonder if anyone else has done that?)

Doom v. De Ocho - They've been targeting each other in their promos, so I wouldn't be surprised if they faced off. I'm guessing it ends in a double count-out as De Ocho and Doom brawl out of the ring, setting up another match in the future.

Farthington v. Evans - Debut match for both guys so it's difficult to predict. I'll go ahead and put my money on Evans, for no real reason other than his character could be a big thing in the company.

And then the fallout from Surge... I'm not even going there.

This might very well be one hell of a show.

The fall out from Surge is worse than nuclear fallout. It is like Hiroshima but worse, it is like...Darfur and the Holocaust in a sick twisted combination.

Chain Reaction post RP, mystery style is always well...a mystery. I want to say firstly, Minstrel good stuff my man. I am enjoying the sick sadistic nature of the character. I see it building up nicely to a point where it will pretty much be the management doing anything to restrain him from his devious deeds, but always coming up short handed. Which is fine, I like the bad guy winning ;).

One thing I will point out is this, I NEVER agree with comparing characters in this world with other wrestlers. It's taboo to me. So when I read "Oh shit it's skinny John Cena in a mask. Skinny Juan Cena" it imediately shut me off completely to the RP. In my eyes there is NO WWE, TNA, ROH. CSWA, EPW, NFW is WWE.

John Cena, doesn't exist. Nor does Undertaker, or any of these people in my view of FWC. That is just my take, care to agree that is fine disagree that's fine too.

Evans vs Farthington, I like debut matches, I like new characters. So, one of the two will pick up steam here.

Doom vs Ocho - I put ocho on the map.

Niles vs Kuroyama Vs Minstrel - I want Niles to come out of his slump, you have KK who is on a goal to beat the entire roster, Niles on a slump, I want the underdog to win this with some cheap luck pin and have him go wild all over the ring like he just beat Hornet for the CSWA Championship. However, I think Minstrel ends that with some baseball bat covered in razor wire and makes Jesus Christ look like a beaten wife comapred to Niles. JUT SAYIN'!

I am in agreement with you in that I have never RPed or utilized my characters as though the "actual" wrestling world existed.

That being said I cannot penalize anyone for such if that is not clear in the rules of the federation.

No can't penalize anyone for it, but it irks me and makes my face roll over the keyboard.

It's pretty much a character point that Doom is the "nephew" of the Undertaker, so if I can't use easy to relate comparisons to "real world" personalities... Well it voids the whole point of Doom to begin with.

Yeah that's not anything Justin ever specified yay or nay on. I can say I'm not a huge fan of it. I prefer to subscribe more to John's outlook but there is no hard and fast rule. And hard to have one when we call a Standing Side Kick a Superkick most times, or refer to other big moves as there more common 90's era names.

Does calling a DDT admit that in our "world" Jake the Snake exists? Or calling a 3/4s Front Face Headlock Bulldog (or whatever it's called) a Stunner admit that Steve Austin exists?

And if wrestlers don't exist do POP culture icons? Troy Whindam hangs out with the guy from the 70's show, and plays bit parts in TBS sticoms lol Hell he owns a share in both NFW and the OKC Thunder. lol

It's a tricky area when you think of the big picture of it.

But I say all that to say ... I don't love it, but there as of now is no rule... But as a reader it does come off as unoriginal to me and I'm sure to some others.

My big faux pa' (sp) just for the record: Is breaking FWKayabe in a roleplay. Like calling a Roleplay a Roleplay for instance. Or anything that kind of takes down the fourth wall for the reader. In my eyes FWK is just as if not more important than Kayfabe... Broken Kayfabe has made some good television and great moments in professional wrestling (although not to the extent Vince Russo may think) but broken FWK just kills the whole illusion that any of this is really happening... it may be fake, but the words have to live.

Not a good place for this post now that I typed it, but it served as a nice little break from writing the card, while staying with in the mind frame of FW.

Back to the card now lol

True but you do a nice job of avoiding his name, and for me that edges it over to side of originality, as opposed to what the guys where talking about I think.

Seems to me like its almost treated as a "unspeakable name" or something. Maybe not.

I will say that if I had been awake after that final RP was delivered, I would have probably replied with references to Undertaker; it's probably not something I would have brought up out of the blue, but when a point in the RP is "your RP was dumb because you're playing a skinny Juan Cena", my instant counter-thought is to attack the "skinny Dead Man".

That being said, I think there is a LOT that these two characters can work with in regards to each other. Whether or not WWE-related references are kosher, there are probably a lot of interesting ways to go forward that won't have to rely on them.

Doom is anything but "skinny".

I won't outright name names in the future, and I'll be cleverer about my "real wrestling world" references either. There.
