Scene opens up in Greensboro, North Carolina to see a large building that displayed the famed letters C S W A. The man looking at the letters of the building was none other than Pro Wrestling’s Phenomenon in the flesh, ‘Superstar’ Vince Jacobs. Jacobs stood in front of the huge CSWA building wearing a tan Armani suit and a pair of Gucci sunglasses.

“So this is the infamous CSWA, the place where legends are made. The place that housed some of the best talent for the past seventeen years. But why would Jacobs be here?

“So this is the famed CSWA that everyone all the world has been talking about.” Jacobs said with a grin

“The best have walked through this door to compete. So why wouldn’t VinceJacobs be here? Well Vince is here to add the CSWA World Heavyweight Title to his long list of accomplishments.” Jacobs continued to walk toward the front doors.

SVJ opened the doors and walked into the building noticing the past CSWA champions’ pictures on the wall in the lobby. Jacobs came up to a picture of Shane Southern who was the last CSWA Heavyweight Champion, retiring just a week ago. Jacobs pointed to the photo of the ex-champ.

“This man is the reason why I am here today. He decided to call it quits and leave this sport and now the powers that be have to do something with the title he vacated. That’s why the geniuses came up with this invitation sixteen man tournament.”

“They called the Superstar and I signed. Then this Thomas guy told me who I would be facing in the first round, Logic.”

Jacobs sneered

“This man I know a little about. He was a participant in fWo’s Survivor IV competition and now he is finally a member of the fWo. I have never faced the man yet in fWo, but this is on different ground and for different reasons.”

“I know you’re a big strong guy that outweighs me by about fifty pounds and you are going to try to use your size advantages against me but see I am SVJ, the Reason these moronic fans come to the arena every night. The man that paved the way for ‘rookies’ like you to make it in this business. The same man that you have read about in magazines, heard about from other wrestlers, and been on many a woman’s lips.” Jacobs said with a smile

“Logic I don’t settle for anything less that perfecti-- ... er let me correct myself, GOD-LIKE performances. I have been in this business for almost fourteen years and I have a pretty good idea of what to do in that ring. It doesn’t matter who the hell is in this tournament. The one person you should bank your money on would be ‘Superstar’ Vince Jacobs.”

“Logic I would really hate to humiliate you outside of an fWo ring but if it has to be then it has to be. Come Primetime in San Diego, I will be moving one step closer to achieving something that no one in pro wrestling history can say that they have ever done and that’s hold the World Heavyweight Title from the three top federations of all-time.”

“CWL – Check done that”

“fWo – In due time”

“CSWA – Once I plow through this tournament.”

(Fade in. Outside CSWA HQ in Greensboro, a mammoth man stands, arms folded, against the stone building. Despite his massively muscled physique, his eyes shine with intelligence. This is the Pensive Punisher. This is LOGIC.)

LOGIC: I don’t even know why I’m here, really. I’ve been wrestling for under a year. I probably haven’t even wrestled thirty matches yet. And yet, the longest running professional wrestling company in the world today gave me a call, and asked me to take part in their World Title Tournament. They’ve thrown me against “Superstar” Vince Jacobs.

Actually, scratch that part about not knowing why I’m here. I know full well. It’s because they see something in me that’s lain dormant for a while. They see the dominance that I can achieve, if I put my mind to it.

In case you haven’t noticed yet, Vince, I’m 6’9”. 299 pounds. I am, to put it simply, the prototype. The type of guy that they’d cream over up north. But I’m not there, Jacobs. I’m here, in the CSWA. Because really, this is the last bastion. My one and only shot to prove that I’ve got what it takes in the ring.

I’d imagine you’re confident, “Superstar”. After all, for what you know, I’m a muscle headed rookie who doesn’t know his head from his ass. A stepping stone for you on the path to CSWA’s Unifed World Title.

And that’s where you’d be wrong, Vince.

You see, I think. I’m not a mindless drone with a million dollar body and a ten cent mind. I can plot out my own ring strategy, and execute it to near-perfection. I do not need a manager to “guide my career”, or some such ridiculousness. Logic stands alone.

There’s no denying that you’re good. None at all. You’ve got a superlative win/loss record, titles around the world, and far more experience than me. But you know what? None of that, despite you being adamant to the contrary in all likelihood, means anything. Because on April 25th, you’ve got to come to the San Diego Sports Arena and face a rookie with more to prove than you can possibly comprehend.

For you, the CSWA is just another stop on a career full of them. A place you can go and try to become World Champion again. For me, Vince? What is it for me?

For me, it is opportunity incarnate. The chance to prove that I’m more than a intellectual. More than a rookie.

Jacobs, the CSWA is where I show the world that a rookie in this business for one year can be better than ten year plus veterans. On pay per view in a month or two, I’m going to be in the ring, competing for the Unified World Title. And I STILL won’t have completed my first year in this sport.

You, on the other hand, will be back in Beverly Hills, trying to understand how your march to glory was derailed by the type of nerdish bookworm you might have picked on in high school.

Your CSWA legacy will be that you were the first man to hear what I’m about to tell you. It’s going to define this era of the CSWA.

Knowledge is power, Vince. Get used to it.

[Camera pans out to see a huge CSWA backdrop with the words PRIMETIME at the bottom. And who stood in front of the backdrop you asked but Vince Jacobs… ‘Superstar’ Vince Jacobs, Pro Wrestling’s Phenomenon. All that good stuff. Jacobs had his ‘billion dollar’ look going for the camera. He had been handed a tape of Logic’s first promo yesterday and he felt he would respond in his own way. So he takes a trip to San Diego where PRIMETIME will be held to cut his promo. Let’s listen]

“Yes Logic I have noticed the fact that you are a massive man. If I recall I did elude to that in my first promo. Tell me prototype, what are you modeled after… hmmm. I have seen your kind many of times before. They claim that since I am a monstrous man that doesn’t make me a retard, I also think in the ring. I won’t discord the fact that you are an impressive rookie. I mean I did watch Survivor IV and I was amazed at some of the things you did in that ring, but you have to realize that things are a little different when you step into a ring with Vince Jacobs.” Vince paused for a sec before continuing

“I’m not an ordinary guy. I don’t do ordinary things in that ring. The ring is my world to explore and showcase and no one on MY green earth can do what I do inside or outside of the ring. I know you have been in this business for a little under a year and I know you want to prove yourself to the masses, that you are not just some big steroid freak.”

“But if you are as confident as you seem to be then you don’t need to PROVE anything to anybody. When I started in this business I took the same approach that you are taking right now I was always out to prove something until I realized that the only person I needed to prove something to was myself. I knew who I was, I am Vince Jacobs and I am the reason there is a show. I took that confidence to a new level. Some may say it’s arrogance but I don’t feel its being arrogant or being cocky, if you can back it up.”

Jacobs walked around the backdrop of a second before looking into the camera once more.

“And that’s what I have been doing for years. And that’s what I will be doing for years to come. I don’t come out and say that my opponent is a stepping stone unless I draw a logical conclusion to the fact. If I say that I am using you as a stepping stone to my goal then don’t get offended. It’s an honor to have been pinned by SVJ… hell it’s a privilege to even have been in the same ring as me. You my friend are lucky in that right.” Jacobs turned around to look at the backdrop again, pointing at the CSWA logo.

“That’s what’s it all about, the legacy of this company. Come April 25th, you want to step into the San Diego Sports Arena and prove to the CSWA fans, the CSWA legends, the CSWA management, and SVJ that you belong here. I welcome that challenge. I want to see what the intellectual Logic has in his arsenal against SVJ.”

“Contrary to what you believe this is not just another stop for SVJ on his world tour… No there is a little more. You're right we both have big opportunities coming up but mine seem a little more goal orientated then yours. This is to cement my history, my legacy if you will. When I retire from this business people will not be discussing how much of bastard Vince Jacobs was. Oh no, they will be discussing my accomplishments and my classic matches that I have put on in this ring.” Vince said with a sly grin on his face

“That’s why I don’t have to prove anything to anybody anymore. I just go out there, wrestle and perform and everything else takes care of itself. I want to believe you’re more than just some punk kid rookie. I want to believe the hype that surrounded you in Survivor IV was real but so far kid I’m not sure. You lost your first few matches in the fWo. I thought the same Logic that impressed me in Survivor would be an unstoppable force in the fWo. But that hasn't come to past, so what makes you think I will see this force in the tournament.”

“If it was another place or time I would take you under my wing and train you Logic but the fact is your standing in my way toward Unified Gold and that’s a no-no. You are right in stating knowledge is power, and I am sure it will grace the CSWA in the years to come but not in this point in time.”

“This tournament is mine. The CSWA Unified World Title is mine. Why? No not because I said so but because I’m the Reason there a show.”

Jacobs slowly walked away from the backdrop as the camera faded out.

(California, to most, was a symbol of sun and fun, a vacation paradise. To LOGIC, however, it was yet another office, a place of business. The nearly three-hundred pound superstar sat on a small chair in the city’s airport, duffel bag sitting at his side. Through the grace of CSWA‘s crack marketing department, he is clad in his own “Knowledge is Power“ t-shirt (available NOW at CSWAShopzone for a very reasonable price.) He gazed down at his chest, seemingly bemused at the mere fact that he now HAD his own t-shirt, his own merchandise.)

LOGIC: Jacobs is confident. In other news, the sun rises in the morning.

(With a sarcastic smile on his face, he reached into his duffel bag, pulling out a pair of average-looking sunglasses. He quickly put them on, shaking his head.)

LOGIC: There. Now my sensitive retinas will be spared from the damage that would undoubtedly be caused by a man with a future as bright as yourself. Fortunately for my vision, even you seem to realize that the CSWA is no cakewalk. You seem far less arrogant, far less loud, and far less self-assured.

Understandable, really, when it comes right down to it. You’re an excellent competitor, without a doubt. On the surface everything seems ripe for you to achieve here. To become the Unifed World Champion and prove that you are everything that you claim so adamantly to be.

But it’s not happening, Vince. Not due to any lack of skill on your part, but because you are going toe to toe with a man who has nothing to lose, and everything to gain. If I lose, everyone will shrug. After all, it’s the expected result. But if you lose, it all begins to unravel. You might not doubt yourself, but everyone else will.

No longer will you be “Superstar” Vince Jacobs, a man feared by his fellow competitors, and hated by the fans. You won’t be worth the effort it takes to hate you anymore. Because, no matter where you go, you’re going to hear the whispers, the chants, the taunting. “That’s the guy who lost to Logic!” “Look, that’s Jacobs. He used to be a World Champion. Then he lost to the really smart big guy.”

Really, Superstar, you’re somebody and I’m nobody. Ask your average fan who I am, and they’ll say I’m the big guy with a flattop who gets made fun of on a weekly basis. And, really, they’d be right. To them, I’m a 6’9” joke.

The joke, Vince Jacobs, will be on you when they see what I can truly do in a ring. CSWA has done something that no one else has for some time. They have dangled a carrot before me. The prospect of the CSWA Unified World Title is my bell. And my Pavlovian response when I think of what that championship means is to defeat whomever is across the ring from me. I don’t care if it’s you, Troy Windham, Hornet, Alias, Jaguar Mask, or a mystery man. Everyone is another capable opponent, another man that I must defeat. And defeat you I will. After all, Vince, ecstasy and you never were a good combination…

There will be no joy in Beverly Hills this weekend. At least after you are defeated, you’ll be in your home state. You can go home to the palatial Jacobs estate, and take a few days to yourself to ponder what happened. Go out for a nice, fancy dinner. Enjoy lobster with a nice chardonnay. Drown yourself in creature comforts.

Because when you come back to the CSWA, you will have to deal with the fact that I still have a chance to become champion, and you do not.

You may as well face facts now. In an era of the steroid bloated athlete, my muscles are the product of good genetics and old-fashioned hard work. My body and my mind work in concert. And Vince, you are fortunate enough to be the first man to face that potent combination.

(Logic stood, slinging the back over his shoulder. The time for battle was near, the time when his well-spoken words would give way to carefully-plotted action.)

LOGIC: CSWA’s Dark Age is over. The Enlightenment is here.

[Fade into the palatial estate of Vince Jacobs somewhere hidden in the famed Hollywood Hills. Jacobs had called for the CSWA cameras to come to his home for a special interview before he left to go to San Diego for his first round World Unified tournament match against the upstart, Logic. The camera focused in on Vince Jacobs who walked around his estate heading toward a large facility off to the side of the main house.]

Jacobs motioned for the cameraman to continue to follow him into the building. Once inside it was clear that the building was a gym with a wrestling ring in the middle. Jacobs had a few young men in the gym training as this was an extension of Craig MilesProfessional Heel Academy.

“Look at these kids right here. They are training their asses off to get an opportunity to get where sixteen men from around the world are at in the CSWA right now. That’s a chance to become a World Champion in one of the biggest promotions of all time. These young men don’t have the luxury of having a full time professional train them to become a professional wrestler so Craig and I decided we should help these kids.”

“See helping people that want to be helped Logic is where I am coming from. I want to help you by saving yourself the embarrassment of stepping into the ring with me. I want to help you by saving you the humiliation you will feel when I destroy your supposed up and coming career in this business. I want to help you see that you are no way near my level.”

Jacobs walked around the gym as the camera continued to follow him.

“I never once said that CSWA would be a cakewalk, however on the other hand you my friend I did say would be a cakewalk. I have no doubt that you will become a Star Struck fan of mine in no time. See all of my opponents become charter members of my Star Gazer fan club and you will be the next on the list. You may even be allowed to become president, but you may have to check with Chris Sheffield for that honor.”

“Let me ask you a question Logic, what makes you think I have nothing to lose here? Yes you are the rookie with a big task in front of you of one pinning Vince Jacobs in the ring and moving through the tournament to become World Heavyweight Champion. You have so much to gain in your short career in this business but just because I have held major titles around the world does not discredit the fact that I have nothing to lose and I will do anything I have to in order to walk out of this tournament with the CSWA Unified World Title around my waist.”

ANYTHING

“Do you think by losing to you in the tournament that I will get ridiculed? That’s not the case son, you have to realize what you do after a lost is what makes or break you in this business. I know my record is not perfect but I know also not to take a lost lying down either. I know that if I lose to Logic on the 25th then I will have to go back out there and make sure I don't get put in that situation again. I know that one mistake in this ring can be the end that’s why I am going to be as close to God-like in this tournament the only way I know how.

Vince walked toward the wrestling ring to watch two kids performing wrestling holds on each other.

“I see the fire in your eyes, the drive and the determination to plow through me and everyone in this tournament to grab a piece of history. You have a monstrous hill to climb being in a tournament with some of the best around the world. Every man that CSWA sends your way you will plow over because you’re not a big dumb guy. On the contrary you are big smart guy. The big smart guy that sees me as an obstacle as I see you. Logic you are right you will probably go through those guys wrestling them on Primetime or something but it won’t happen in this tournament because your one and done my friend.”

Vince smirked before he spoke again. “And your right ecstasy and I have never been a good combination. It’s funny you should say that because I was just thinking that I have always had a little trouble with secluding an alias also.”

“But back to the point at hand Logic, I have gone through and seen so much in my career that would make your head spin. I have done things to be proud of and I have done some things that I am not so proud of. But one thing is for certain, this weekend you’re right there will be no joy in Beverly Hills because I plan to be partying in Miami this weekend. The talking will be over soon enough because your body and your mind may be your temple but once you step into that ring with SVJ, the ass kicking begins.”

“Make sure you have someone tape this match for you because you will want to playback what happened when a real ‘Superstar’ puts on one of many performances in the CSWA.”

Jacobs places his hand over the camera lens as the screen fades to black.
