[FADEIN: A wide shot of the crowd as pyro goes off, the camera pans over the crowd for a few moments before we CUTTO: The broadcast team sitting at the table at ringside.)

DT: Welcome everyone, Aggression 53 is live!! I'm Dave Thomas alongside Mike Neely and Dean Matthews and ladies and gentlemen... the King of the Cage rolls on to round two TONIGHT!

DM: That's right, Dave... four big matches in the biggest tournament event in EPW's history, one of which is for the EPW WORLD TITLE!

DT: And in that match, two men very familiar with each other - the World Champion, "Triple X" Sean Stevens... and his opponent, with one more shot at glory... The First.

MN: Like he deserves another shot.

DM: What do you care?

MN: I'm bitter.

Michael Bastard & Donovan Astros vs. Shawn Hart (c) & Karl Brown (c), Letter From Cat

DT: Well ladies and gentlemen, before we get to the next series of King of the Cage matches, we’ve got a tag team contest for you tonight that you WON’T want to miss! In this match, we’re going to see two new talents team up against both the EPW Television Champion AND the EPW Intercontinental Champion!

DM: It’s going to be a meeting of Empire Pro’s past and future... with an added stipulation involved! A pinfall or submission over either of the champions will earn that newcomer a title shot!

MN: So what happens in the case of a count out or DQ?

DM: I don’t know... maybe they’ll roshambo for it.

DT: It will be an interesting contest between the old guard and the new blood... let’s go to the ring!

[CUE UP: “Worldwide Suicide” by Pearl Jam. DONOVAN ASTROS steps onto the stage and pumps both fists into the air before making his way down the ramp to the ring. He looks pretty confident and pumped.]

TF: Ladies and gentlemen... the following contest is a tag team match set for one fall! Introducing first... hailing from Los Angeles, California... weighing in at two-hundred and thirty-seven pounds... HERE IS... DONOVVAAAANNN... AAAAASSTROOOOOSSSSS!!!

[Astros pumps a fist into the air as he continues making his way down the ring. The crowd reaction is still very mixed, but he has noticeably more support in the fans this time around.]

DT: Donovan Astros, making his way to the ring now! He came up short in his debut match in the first round of the King of the Cage tournament, but it was undeniable that he made in an impact!

MN: Are you serious? That stoner made him look like a complete STOOGE!

DM: Let’s look at the facts, Neels... he walked into an unconventional match against an unconventional opponent. He didn’t get pinned, he didn’t tap out, and if you ask me, he DOMINATED most of that match. If it had been anything but a cage match, things would have likely been very different. I have a big feeling that Donovan Astros is going to be a major player here in Empire Pro in the coming months.

DT: He’s got all the experience and talent one needs to go far in this federation, but he’s still looking for his first victory in Empire Pro! Can he earn it tonight, over a CHAMPION, no less?

[CUE UP: “All Secrets Known” by Alice in Chains. MICHAEL BASTARD emerges from the entry-way and sternly makes his way to the ring, ignoring the jeering fans lined up by the rampway. Sauntering out behind him is the Amazing Logan with a smug smirk spread over his face, who taunts the crowd as he follows his man to the ring and talks him up.]

TF: And his partner... accompanied to the ring by the AMAZING LOGAN... hailing from Flint, Michigan, and weighing in at two-hundred and twenty-five pounds... HERE IS... MMMMICHAAEELLLLL... BAAAASSSSTAAARRRD!!!

MN: Now HERE’S a man who knows how to make an impact! Except for this music... I mean, what is this? Grunge night for the guys in the production van?

DT: I won’t doubt you when you say this young man has made an impact, Neely. In fact, Michael Bastard’s made a number of them... all of them being exceptionally VIOLENT and BRUTAL!

DM: It took a staggering EIGHT CONSECUTIVE GERMAN SUPLEXES to knock him out of the King of the Cage tournament... but tonight is his opportunity to move on from that. With Donovan Astros in his corner for this match, he has the chance to make a big step UP the ladder should he pick up the win.

DT: I can’t imagine where the Amazing Logan found this guy... a prison? A ghetto? A mental institution?

MN: Woodstock ‘99?

DM: “Woodstock ‘99!?”

MN: Hey, man, there were some MEAN BASTARDS at that show...

[Bastard slides into the ring where Donovan Astros is waiting with an outstretched hand, offering a handshake. Bastard just looks at it and walks by him, impatiently pacing around the corner.]

[CUE UP: “Rainmaker” by Iron Maiden. The crowd POPS LOUD as KARL “THE DRAGON” BROWN steps out onto the stage, wearing the EPW TV Title around his waist and pumping a fist into the air. Hanging over the stage, flashing pyro in the shape of a serpentine DRAGON sparkle briefly in green light before he makes his way down the ramp, slapping hands with the fans.]

TF: And their opponent... hailing from Nottingham, England... weighing in at two-hundred and eleven pounds... he is the EMPIRE PRO TELEVISION CHAMPION... HE IS...

KARRLL... “THE DRAAAGOOON”... BRRRROOOOOWWWWWNNN!!!

DT: Big ovation for the Empire Pro Television Champion as he makes his way to the ring!

MN: Yet ANOTHER King of the Cage LOSER in this match...

DM: Hey, at least he was able to walk away with the TV Title... and if you ask me, he’s bringing a great deal of PRESTIGE back to that title!

DT: “The Dragon” is one of the most decorated and experienced men in Empire Pro... but tonight, this veteran is putting his honor and integrity on the line against two hungry competitors who would no doubt want a shot at his Television Title. But to get there, they have to PIN HIM first...

DM: And very few have ever managed THAT over Karl Brown!

[CUE UP: “Phenomenah” by the Yeah Yeah Yeahs. The crowd POPS LOUDLY AGAIN as “THE PHENOM” SHAWN HART drives out onto the stage in his golf cart, grinning wide and waving to the fans while holding out the IC Title. The vehicle makes an awkward zig-zag down the ramp before crashing briefly into the barricade to give him a chance for a photo op. He leans in and beams a smile cheek-to-cheek with a young female fan as she snaps a shot off her iPhone. We’ll no doubt see it here on Twitter in a minute.]

TF: And his partner... from Orlando, Florida... he weighs in at two-hundred and fifteen pounds... he is the EPW INTERCONTINENTAL CHAMPION... HE IS...

“THE PHENOM”... SHAAWWNN... JESSICAA... HART... EEEEESSQUUUIIIIRRREE!!!!

DT: “The Phenom” Shawn Hart making his way to the ring now, as clumsy and charismatic as ever!

MN: I still can’t get over the fact that he’s represent our company as the INTERCONTINENTAL CHAMPION! I remember a time when HE was the TV Champ, and his partner BROWN was the long-time IC Champ!

DM: And in a weird twist of fate, these two men have swapped titles... now finding themselves on the same side in this tag team match.

DT: The two of them will have to use every last bit of their wits and veteran experience to overcome the team of newcomers in Donovan Astros and Michael Bastard.

MN: Come ON... these two guys are supposed to represent our federation’s BEST! This should be a walk in the park for these two... SHOULD BE, anyway. I happen to know of MANY guys back in that locker room who could represent EPW better than the clown and boy scout there...

[Hart and Brown meet up at ringside, share a handshake a few brief words before jumping up to the apron and hitting the ring. Both men take opposite corners and show of their belts while firing up the crowd. When the music cuts, they meet in the corner opposite of Bastard and Astros before handing their titles over to the timekeeper.]

[Referee Emilio Gomez makes his final checks. After some deliberation, Shawn Hart elects to start things off on behalf of the challengers. On the other side of the ring, Michael Bastard gets some words of advice from the Amazing Logan standing on the floor nearby, and decides to take a spot on the apron without really giving Donovan Astros a say in the matter.]

DM: You really have to wonder if Donovan Astros and Michael Bastard are on the same page here.

MN: Do you really expect them to be, Dave? I mean, only the man that gets the PIN is walking away with a title shot. They might be sharing the same turnbuckle, but there’s a definite conflict of interests there...

DT: All the same, these two newcomers will need to cooperate if either of them hopes to walk out of here with a title shot at either of these champions!

[With the two legal men in the ring, Gomez gives the signal to the timekeeper...]

SFX: *DING!-DING!*

DT: Our first match tonight is underway, and here comes Donovan Astros out of his corner, looking eager to get this started! Hart steps up to the middle of the ring meet him, and there’s the LOCK-UP!

DM: Both men struggling for leverage... and ASTROS finds it, quickly twisting the Intercontinental Champ into a hammerlock! Astros trying to wrench that arm... but Hart, cool as ever, pops that free arm back and catches him in the kisser with an elbow!

DT: Hart slipping free... moving FAST and into the ropes now – NO!! Astros puts him down with a standing shoulder block! Astros in motion now, into the ropes... Hart flips over, and Astros HURDLES him into the other set of ropes... Hart to his feet and MEETS ASTROS with a HIPTOSS – oh wait, REVERSED –

DM: DONOVAN ASTROS with a Hiptoss of his own! Hart bounces off the mat, and quickly scrambles to his feet... but Astros DROPS HIM AGAIN with a charging lariat!

MN: Man, the Intercontinental Champ is getting SCHOOLED in there!

DT: Rocky start for the champion thus far, as the new talent, Donovan Astros, brings a fairly spirited offense in the opening moments of this match!

DM: Hart trying to get to his feet, but Astros is already on top of him with a front facelock! Hooking the arm now... OH MAN!! UP and OVER with a VERTICLE SUPLEX!!

DT: Astros is really taking it to the champ now! Lateral press, going for the COVER!

One!

Two!

Quick kickout by Hart! “The Phenom” quickly rolls away, and makes the tag to Karl Brown waiting on the apron! Let’s see if the TV Champion can get anything going for his team!

DM: There’s the collar and elbow tie-up... but Brown’s got some momentum on his side, pressing Astros right into the corner! Clean break... and “The Dragon” NAILS the knife-edge chop to the exposed chest of Astros! There’s a SECOND chop, leaving the Empire Pro newcomer reeling!

MN: Well, at least SOMEBODY is trying to protect this federation’s integrity...

DT: There’s the IRISH WHIP to the opposite corner... and Astros CONNECTS! Astros stumbling out, and here comes Brown, charging after him – NO!! Astros counters with a DROP TOE HOLD to put him to the mat!

DM: There’s a quick cross-over, and Astros slaps on a chinlock to keep “The Dragon” on the mat! The TV Champion doesn’t stay down long, however... forcing himself to his knees... back to his FEET... Brown looking for a BACK SUPLEX – OH WAIT, ASTROS LANDS ON HIS FEET!!

DT: Astros hooking the waist from behind, looking for a GERMAN SUPLEX – NO!! Brown ROLLS FORWARD... hooking the LEGS – and he’s ROLLS ASTROS TO THE MAT with a DOUBLE LEG CRADLE!!

One!

Two!

Astros kicks out! Both men scrambling to their feet... and BROWN catches Astros with an armdrag to put him to the mat!

DM: Quick transition to an ARMBAR! Brown trying to cinch it in, but Astros quickly drags his body near the edge of the ring and grabs a hold of the bottom rope! Great awareness on the part of the EPW newcomer, and Brown promptly breaks the hold and lets him to his feet...

MN: He could have milked that a bit longer if he wanted to...

DT: He could have, but “The Dragon” is the kind of man who wants only a clean fight. Brown waiting for Astros to come at him again, but Donovan looking a little hesitant... and he opts to tag in his partner, Michael Bastard!

DM: Bastard’s in the ring in a heartbeat! No doubt, he’s tired of watching this from the outside looking in, and now he wants a piece of the action! Here comes Brown for the lock-up, but Bastard CATCHES HIM with a boot to the gut!

DT: Brown doubled over, and now Bastard LAYS INTO HIS NECK AND BACK with some HARD forearm shots! Brown down to his KNEES... and Bastard puts a KNEE right into the side of his head to put him down the rest of the way! Man, Bastard doesn’t hold ANYTHING back with those strikes!

MN: He’s got a real “take no prisoners” approach in that ring, and I can respect that! At least he knows what’s on the LINE here!

DM: Brown is left stunned on the mat, and Bastard quickly bounces himself off the ropes... BIG KNEE DROP nails the TV Champ right in the sternum!

DT: Michael Bastard is wasting no time, and the Amazing Logan looks quite pleased with his work thus far! Bastard hooking the legs, going for the PIN!

One!

Two!

NO!! Brown kicks out... but almost as soon as he sits up, Bastard delivers a HARD KICK right to his spine to keep him reeling on the mat!

DM: Bastard’s just RELENTLESS right now! Brown trying to get up again, but Bastard helps him up the rest of the way... and SCOOPS HIM UP over his shoulder! Bastard... charging toward the TURNBUCKLE – NO, WAIT!! BROWN SLIPS DOWN HIS BACK!!

MN: D’OH!!

DT: Karl Brown with a SHOVE, and Michael Bastard’s FACE connects with the top turnbuckle! I think Bastard was intending to put the TV Champion there instead, but the quick reflexes and awareness on the part of “The Dragon” prevented that from happening!

DM: Bastard stumbling backwards – WALKS RIGHT INTO A RELEASED GERMAN SUPLEX from the waiting Karl Brown!

Crowd: *POP!!*

DT: Brown with the opportunity to turn things around! He’s forcing himself to his feet, and heading for his corner, where Shawn Hart eagerly has his hand outstretched, ready to get back into this match! Bastard’s up... tries going after him, but he’s not going to get there! Tag is MADE!

DM: Here comes Hart... OH WOW, WITH A SPRINGBOARD MISSILE DROPKICK into the ring, catching an unsuspecting Michael Bastard who was blindly charging into his opponents’ corner! He might be vicious, but he ain’t too SMART!

MN: That’s why he’s got a brilliant manager in the Amazing Logan! Unfortunately, Logan can’t be there in his ear ALL the time!

DT: The Amazing Logan, shouting to his protégé' from the ringside area, telling him to get up... but the Intercontinental Champion’s already a step ahead of the young Michael Bastard!

DM: Here’s Hart, locking the leg in place... BRIDGING BACK with a BEAUTIFUL ESS-TEE-EFF!! Michael Bastard’s got NOWHERE to go now!

DT: Hart’s got great form on that submission hold, and he’s in an excellent position! He’s got him in the middle of the ring... a LONG way from making a tag to Donovan Astros! Bastard can only reach out helplessly while the Amazing Logan tells him to hang on from the outside!

DM: Looks like the technical prowess of the team of Brown and Hart have proven too much for the blunt-force attacks of Michael Bastard!

MN: Don’t count this kid out just yet...

DT: Bastard reaching in vain... but his face shows more RAGE than pain right now! Bastard, with his arms outstretched... oh wow, LOOK AT THIS... Michael Bastard is DRAGGING his way to ropes! Shawn Hart can only shake his head in DISBELIEF!!

DM: That’s some remarkable resistance on the part of Bastard, fighting the pain and crawling on his belly one inch at a time in the direction of his corner! Astros REACHING over the ropes now! Michael Bastard is ALMOST THERE, and the Intercontinental Champion knows that he can’t stop him!

DT: Looks like he’s realizing that now, breaking the STF, and trying to switch up into a leglock! Bastard rolling over onto his back as Hart puts the leg-scissor around that trapped leg... OH WAIT!! BASTARD USING THAT FREE LEG TO KICK HIM AWAY!!

MN: That kid’s not going to let ANYTHING pin him down!

DT: Hart just LOST HIS GRIP, and now Bastard SLIPS AWAY... he MAKES THE TAG TO ASTROS!!

DM: Astros storming into the ring, as the Intercontinental Champion gets to his feet! Astros MEETS HIM with some heavy rights and lefts, backing him into the ropes... Hart bounces off with the WHIP... here he comes off the other set of ropes... and Astros SENDS HIM WAAAYY INTO THE AIR with a Back Body Drop!

DT: Donovan Astros almost had enough elevation to throw the Intercontinental Champion from the RING! Hart is definitely struggling to get any offense on this young and hungry new talent!

MN: Really says something about our IC champ, to see him get his ass handed to him by a rookie!

DM: Or maybe Donovan Astros’ skills are more than we bargained for! Hart back to his feet, but too dazed to act! Here comes Astros from behind, hooking the arms... TWISTS HIM AROUND... OH MAN, DRIVES HIM FACE-FIRST TO THE MAT with an Inverted Underhook DDT!!

DT: I believe he calls that one the ASTROCIDE!! And that may have done the trick on Shawn Hart! Astros makes the cover, and hooks the legs!

ONE!

TWO!

NO!! A near three-count, but the Intercontinental Champion kicks out!

MN: Lucky he did, because I highly doubt he wants to see this guy again with his belt on the line!

DM: Astros has a handful of Shawn Hart’s HAIR as he brings him off the mat and leads him back to his corner! There’s the tag to Michael Bastard, who’s looking for a little payback! Bastard back in the ring... and DOUBLES OVER the Intercontinental Champ with a HARD kick right to the mid-section!

DT: Hart’s going to feel that one for a while... Bastard quickly slaps on a front-facelock... going for a SWINGING NECKBREAKER – NO, HE SPINS THROUGH and BLASTS THE BACK OF HART’S HEAD with a FOREARM SMASH!!

DM: That’s the BLACK-OUT!! Hart hits the mat like a TON OF BRICKS! Bastard rolls him over... lateral press for the PIN!

ONE!

TWO!

TH—NO!! Hart slips out the back door! I’m sure if Michael Bastard had hooked the legs, he’d be looking forward to a shot at that Intercontinental Title right now!

MN: Donovan Astros breathes a sigh of relief...

DM: The Amazing Logan is telling Bastard to press him, and his protégé follows the advice by mounting Hart’s chest! Bastard LAYING INTO HART’S FACE with some HEAVY SHOTS!! He’s clearly using his FISTS in there, and Gomez is warning him about it!

DT: I don’t think Bastard HEARS HIM!! Bastard WAILING AWAY at the Intercontinental Champ, and now Emilio Gomez has to PHYSICALLY RESTRAIN HIM to make him stop! Bastard looks FURIOUS, but the ref threatens to disqualify him if he doesn’t honor his authority!

MN: That twerp better WATCH HIMSELF if he doesn’t want to end up in Shawn Hart’s place!

DM: The Amazing Logan advises his man to take a breather and cool off... and Michael Bastard goes to make the tag to put Donovan Astros back into this match! These two might have different agendas, but they’re doing a damn fine job of cooperating in singling out Shawn Hart and preventing him from making it back to Karl Brown through some quick back-and-forth tags. Astros in quickly before Hart has a chance to recover... puts him BACK to the mat with a side-headlock takedown!

DT: Astros has a vice-like grip around the Intercontinental Champion’s head! Hart is looking in bad shape right now! The team of newcomers have been dominating him for many minutes of this match! I dare say he didn’t quite expect what Bastard and Astros would bring into this competition...

MN: Or maybe it just goes to prove that Hart’s a HACK!

DM: Considering he’s the federation’s standard-bearer for our Intercontinental division, I’d certainly hope that’s NOT the case, Neels! But Dave is right; Hart is definitely having an OFF night tonight.

DT: Whatever the case may be, we can’t count out Shawn Hart’s definable ability to make a strong comeback when things are looking grim. Right now though, he’s on his side, making no attempt to escape the hold!

MN: Bastard must have done a real number on him earlier...

Crowd: “HART! HART! HART! HART!”

DT: Here come the FANS, on the side of the Intercontinental Champion! “The Phenom”... finding that inspiration to FIGHT now... now he’s FORCING HIMSELF up!

DM: Hart’s up to a KNEE... BOTH KNEES... BACK ON HIS FEET! We could be seeing that comeback you were talking about RIGHT HERE, Dave!

DT: Astros still trying to wrench that head, but Hart delivers a SHOT TO THE MID-SECTION... there’s ANOTHER... and a THIRD is finally enough to break the hold! Hart – into the ropes IMMEDIATELY – and INTO THE AIR WITH A CROSS-BODY –

DM: – ASTROS CATCHES HIM!!

*SFX: SLAM!!!*

Crowd: “OOOoohh...”

MN: OOH, BABY!! You were meaning to say “Cross-Body POWERSLAM”, right Dave?

DT: That took all of the wind right out of Shawn Hart’s sails! He made a very spirited attempt to turn things around for the team of champions, but Donovan Astros is thinking one step ahead of him here tonight!

DM: Astros brings a near lifeless Shawn Hart back to his feet now... front facelock... OH MAN, ASTROS PLANTS HIM FACE-FIRST INTO THE MAT WITH A SPINNING IMPLANT DDT!! I believe he calls that one the ASTROLABE!!

MN: Man, what is it with these new guys and all the goofy names for their moves?

DT: That may have done it for the Intercontinental Champion! Astros makes the cover... HOOKS THE LEGS...

ONE!!

TWO – NO!! Broken up by “The Dragon!”

DM: Karl Brown makes a much needed save, although I couldn’t help but notice that Michael Bastard had one leg through the ropes, ready to jump in and break it up himself! There’s no question about it... he wants to leave tonight with a shot at Empire Pro gold.

DT: We can only assume as to whether or not that’s on HIS agenda, or that of the Amazing Logan’s! Back to the action... Astros giving the Television Champ a piece of his mind as Emilio Gomez escorts him back to his corner! Brown back to the apron without much resistance.

DM: Wise move to let those words roll off his back. He could do his tag partner a lot worse by keeping the referee’s eyes turned away from his opponents’ corner, especially given one of those opponents is the virulent Michael Bastard! But Brown’s been in this business too long to make that kind of mistake. He’s going to keep his cool and wait for his opportunity to get back into the ring...

MN: If he even GETS such an opportunity...

DM: Astros dumps an exhausted and weary Shawn Hart into his corner... and makes the tag to Michael Bastard! Bastard back into the ring... no doubt, he knows that there’s not much left in Shawn Hart, and he’ll definitely want to be in the ring for the finishing blow!

DT: Hart will make his comeback, mark my words... Bastard with some HARD KICKS to the mid-section of Hart while he’s trapped in the corner! Gomez COUNTING... now GETTING IN THE WAY and pushing Bastard back! Somebody needs to keep a LEASH on that rabid animal of a man!

MN: Who the hell do you think that guy is outside the ring, cheering him on?! That “rabid animal” is not only ON a leash, but also trained to SIC on the Amazing Logan’s command!

DM: Bastard brushing by the ref to get back to Hart... there’s a handful of HAIR as he pulls him out and THROWS HIM back-first to the mat! Hart looks to be in a TREMENDOUS amount of pain right now!

DT: Michael Bastard hesitating – we’ve hardly ever seen him do THAT before – as he looks down with DISGUST at the Intercontinental Champion! Meanwhile, “The Phenom” Shawn Jessica Hart, PEE-ACHE-DEE, feebly attempts to crawl to his corner, reaching out to the waiting Karl Brown, who seems to be MILES away! Hart looks completely devoid of ALL STRENGTH right now!

DM: But MICHAEL BASTARD gets to him first! Bastard grabbing a handful of HAIR and yanking his head back... AND THRUSTING HIS THUMB INTO THE AIR!! He’s going for the RUSTY SPIKE!!

Crowd: “BOOOOOOOO!!”

MN: Oh yeah, time to put THIS one away!

DT: Bastard looking for that shot at Shawn Hart’s Intercontinental Title, as he pulls the mat to his feet... hooks the ARM into a chickenwing... and THRUSTS THAT THUMB DOWN INTO HIS – OH WAIT!! HART GOT THE ARM UP!! Hart is BLOCKING THE RUSTY SPIKE!!

Crowd: *POP!!*

DM: Hart’s got FIGHT LEFT IN HIM AFTER ALL!! Bastard GRITTING HIS TEETH, trying to FORCE that thumb violently into Shawn Hart’s windpipe, but Hart’s FOREARM is in the way, trying to force it AWAY!!

DT: COME ON, SHAWN!!

MN: COME ON, YOU BASTARD!!

DM: Both men dancing in CIRCLES around the ring, caught in a life and death struggle... AND HART JUST FORCES BASTARD’S HAND AWAY –

DT: – AND HE IMMEDIATELY COUNTERS WITH THE HART ON!! MY GOD, WHAT A HART ON!!

Crowd: *POP!!!*

DM: That was just pure desperation there... but that was ALL IT TOOK for Shawn Hart to FINALLY turn this match around! Now is his chance to make it to the corner and tag the Television Champ back into this contest!

DT: COME ON, SHAWN, YOU CAN DO IT!! Hart... KICKING HIS LEGS on the mat as he fights the PAIN and DIGS DEEP for the strength! He’s REACHING OUT to Brown’s outstretched hand and inching his way on his BELLY to his corner!

DM: He’s gotta hurry! Bastard... briefly dazed, but completely aware of the situation, is crawling toward HIS corner at an alarmingly fast pace! The Amazing Logan is SCREAMING at him to hurry!

DT: My God, how does ANYBODY come back from the HART ON that quickly?!

MN: That kid could get hit by a CAR and not feel it...

DM: Bastard inches away... Hart, maybe only a few more... AND BASTARD MAKES THE TAG!! Here’s DONOVAN ASTROS into the ring, SPRINTING FOR SHAWN HART –

DT: HART DIVES... YES, HE MAKES THE TAG!!

Crowd: *POP!!!*

MN: DAMNIT!!

DT: “THE DRAGON” STORMS BACK INTO THE RING, and Astros tires to PUT ON THE BRAKES... but instead, he runs into a KNIFE-EDGE CHOP with enough force to FLIP HIM AROUND!!

DM: Brown locks the arms... FOLLOWS THROUGH WITH A BEAUTIFUL DRAGON SUPLEX ON DONOVAN ASTROS!!! Brown POPS TO HIS FEET and SETS THE CROWD ON FIRE!!

Crowd: “DRA-GON!! DRA-GON!! DRA-GON!! DRA-GON!!”

DT: Wait a second, here comes MICHAEL BASTARD, charging up behind him with a CLOTHESLINE – OH NO!! BROWN HEARD HIM COMING AND DUCKED AT THE LAST SECOND!! Brown with the FULL-NELSON – and THERE’S A DRAGON SUPLEX ON MICHAEL BASTARD!!!

DM: Karl Brown is CLEANING HOUSE!!

MN: Well, I guess it’s high time SOMEBODY started pulling the weight for that team!

DT: Brown looming over Astros now, as the newcomer tries to get to his feet in the corner! Brown has him TRAPPED... and LAYS RIGHT INTO THE EXPOSED CHEST with a POWERFUL KNIFE-EDGE CHOP!!

Crowd: “WHOOOOO!!”

DM: I bet you could hear that all the way down the BLOCK!! Brown with ANOTHER CHOP... and ANOTHER!! Man, he’s turning the chest of Donovan Astros BEET RED!!

DT: Astros is in a LOAD of pain now... and here’s Brown with the IRISH WHIP... Astros CONNECTS HARD, and stumbles out of the opposite corner – AND WALKS RIGHT INTO A T-BONE SUPLEX FROM KARL BROWN!!

MN: Brownie’s whippin’ out those suplexes like NOBODY’S business tonight!

DT: Here’s Brown WITH THE COVER on Donovan Astros... COULD THIS BE IT?!

ONE!!

TWO!!

THR – NO!! Almost a three-count, but Astros managed to kick out! The veteran newcomer will keep this match going, but right now, he has to deal with a Television Champion who is ON FIRE!!

DM: Brown quickly grabs Astros before he can get to his feet, and... OH MAN, HE LOCKS IN THE DRAGON SLEEPER!!

DT: Astros trying to free himself, but Karl Brown has it LOCKED IN TIGHT!! Can Donovan Astros withstand this submission hold?!

DM: Looks like he won’t HAVE TO – MICHAEL BASTARD BREAKS IT UP WITH THE SHORT-ARM CLOTHESLINE RIGHT TO THE BACK OF BROWN’S HEAD!!

MN: Yeah, he didn’t duck THAT time!

DT: That finally cut Karl Brown’s momentum short, and now Michael Bastard relentlessly STOMPS AWAY at him until Emilio Gomez pushes him off and orders him out of the ring! Astros has a chance to capitalize now... recovering as quick as he can from that sleeper, and getting to Brown before the TV Champion can get back to his feet! He hooks the arms... looking for a BUTTERFLY SUPLEX – BUT WAIT, BROWN BLOCKS IT!!

DM: Brown HOOKED HIS LEG... and now he’s TWISTING AROUND – HE REVERSES WITH A BACKSLIDE PIN!!

DT: WHAT A COUNTER!!

ONE!!

TWO!!

ASTROS KICKS OUT!! “The Dragon” almost STOLE IT right there!

DM: Donovan Astros is looking FRUSTRATED now... both men SCRAMBLE to their feet! He’s Astros, swinging a fist – BUT KARL BROWN BLOCKS IT, and quickly locks it into an ARM WRENCH!!

DT: Astros buckling under that pain... and now Brown leads him back to his corner... and HE TAGS SHAWN HART back in! Hart going to the TOP ROPE... BIG DOUBLE AXE-HANDLE SMASH RIGHT TO THE SHOULDER!! Finally, the EPW Champions are beginning to gain some control of this match!

MN: Wait until that crazy BASTARD gets back in the ring...

DT: Hart getting the crowd PUMPED UP now... bringing Donovan Astros to his feet, and whipping to the ropes – wait, BLIND TAG MADE BY MICHAEL BASTARD!!

DM: Hart waiting with a back body drop... but Astros CATCHES HIM with an elbow right to the back of the neck! He doesn’t even realize yet that he’s no longer the legal man, as Bastard slips into the ring behind him!

MN: I guess he got tired of waiting, and decided to take initiative before this moron cost him the match!

DT: Astros still manhandling Shawn Hart... he slaps on the front facelock... lifts him up for a SUPLEX – OH WAIT, HE SLINGSHOTS HIM OFF THE ROPES – AND DRILLS HIM RIGHT INTO THE MAT WITH A BRAINBUSTER!!!

DM: THE SLINGSHOT EFFECT!!! He got it off THIS TIME, and that just left Shawn Hart COMPLETELY MOTIONLESS on the mat!

DT: Astros going for the COVER, unaware that he’s not the legal man! Gomez trying to explain it, and now Astros is getting back to his feet, trying to figure out what’s happen – OH WAIT, BASTARD PEARL HARBORS HIM FROM BEHIND!! Bastard just went after HIS OWN PARNTER!!

MN: Oh man, that is POETICALLY BEAUTIFUL!! I LOVE a good betrayal!

DT: Bastard has Astros by the head... leading him over the champions’ corner now – OH GOD, WHAT SAVAGERY!! KARL BROWN GETS KNOCKED FROM THE APRON AS MICHAEL BASTARD THROWS HIS OWN TAG PARTNER THROUGH THE ROPES AND FROM THE RING!!

DM: I don’t believe it... BASTARD’S GOT AN UNCONSCIOUS SHAWN HART ALONE IN THE RING WITH HIM!! The Amazing Logan is SCREAMING “FINISH HIM OFF!! FINISH HIM OFF!”

DT: Bastard peels Hart off the mat... LIFTS HIM UP... AND PLANTS HIM WITH THE BASTARD DRIVER!! MY GOD, THE INTERCONTINENTAL CHAMPION HAS HAD HIS HEAD DRIVEN STRAIGHT INTO THAT MAT TWICE NOW!!

MN: Let’s hope he’s a VEGETABLE!

DT: Brown and Astros are too busy mixing it up outside the ring... and now Michael Bastard is GOING FOR THE PIN...

ONE!!!

TWO!!!

THREE!! HE DID IT!! HE JUST PINNED THE INTERCONTINENTAL CHAMPION!!!

SFX: *DING! DING! DING!*

TF: Ladies and gentlemen... HERE ARE YOUR WINNERS... DONOVAN ASTROS... and MMMIIICHAEEELL BAAAASSTAAARRD!!!

[CUE UP: “All Secrets Known.” The Amazing Logan hops into the ring and nearly TACKLES Michael Bastard as he comes to his feet. The referee raises his arm in victory before he promptly rips it away and threatens to strike him. Gomez clears the ring as the Amazing Logan continues celebrating and Bastard looks down at the fallen body of the Intercontinental Champion, Shawn Hart... a detached and murderous look in his eyes. Meanwhile, Donovan Astros and Karl Brown stop scrapping as soon as they hear the bell ring, coming to the realization that the match is over. Astros looks FURIOUS, while Brown is simply dismayed.]

DM: I don’t believe it, but... the CHAMPIONS have been BEATEN by the NEW GUYS!!

DT: And what’s more, Michael Bastard has earned a SHOT at Shawn Hart’s Intercontinental Title... with a little unintentional help from his partner, Donovan Astros!

MN: Man, you have to hand it to the Bastard... he played that PERFECTLY!

DT: Astros is no doubt upset to miss out on a chance for a title shot, but probably even MORE upset over the fact that his own tag partner stabbed him in the back!

MN: Oh, who cares!? He was on the WINNING TEAM, wasn’t he?

DM: If it’s any consolation to Donovan Astros, he picks up his first win here in Empire Pro... but Michael Bastard has reaped the rewards! The bigger question on my mind is, can Shawn Hart come back from this defeat and defend his title? Or could the future Intercontinental Champion be the man standing over him RIGHT NOW? Is this the first step in Michael Bastard’s violent reign of dominance over Empire Pro gold?

DT: Who knows, at this point? Regardless, and impressive showing from all men involved! Karl Brown doesn’t have to worry about meeting either of these men again anytime soon when it comes to defending the TV Title, but it’s going to be a different story for Shawn Hart here very soon.

DM: In the meantime, Donovan Astros and Michael Bastard have definitely sent a message here tonight! The future of Empire Pro HAS ARRIVED, and the old guard have been put on notice!

DT: We have to take a quick commercial break, ladies and gentlemen, but when we come back... we start off the next round of the KING OF THE CAGE TOURNAMENT, so don’t go away!

[The camera fades out on Michael Bastard’s sneering face as the fans BOO throughout the arena.]

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
(EPW interviewer Kenny Lombardo is getting a cup of coffee backstage when a backstage worker approaches him with an envelope)
Worker: Lombardo. Got something for you.
Lombardo: A letter? Who even sends letters anymore? There's not even a name on it.
Worker: No longer my problem. Enjoy.
Lombardo: Well, who gave it to you to deliver?
Worker: Some kid. I didn't recognize him. Gotta go back to work now.
(The worker leaves. Lombardo, looking perplexed, opens the envelope and reads aloud the letter inside)
Lombardo: "At Aggression 52, a great injustice was done to me. Every stakeholder in EPW saw it happen and could have intervened, but chose not to, too absorbed in their own self-promotion to do what was right, to see what was done to me as a threat to this business and everyone in it and react accordingly. While I have made it part of my mission to impress upon the rest of the EPW locker room, through any means necessary, the critical importance that my efforts here succeed, I cannot sit idly by and let the person who did me wrong escape repercussion. Tonight, I will punish the person who wronged me at Aggression 52 and send a message to all of EPW that they can only expect worse if they continue on their current path. Signed, Copycat."
(Lombardo, though done reading, remains transfixed on the note)
Lombardo ... Where do I even start to warn people about this?
....
KOTC Round 2: High Flyer vs. Fusenshoff + "Repercussions"
[FADEIN: The top of the ramp as “Wherever I May Roam” by Metallica plays, after a moment Fusenshoff makes his way through the curtain. Fuse wears a white wife beater and blue jeans with black work boots. He makes his way towards the ring with the crowd cheering loudly.]
TF: The following contest is set for one fall, and it is a KING of the CAGE second round match! Introducing first from Kamloops, British Columbia, weighing in at 263 pounds…FUSE!!! EN!!! SHOFF!!
DT: Fusenshoff fresh off a big win over Cameron Cruise is now looking to make his way to the Semi Finals of the King of the Cage tournament…This could well be the break out performance Fuse has been looking for.
DM: Well I don’t know if it would be a true break through, Fuse has been a two time World Television champion and he’s clearly made an impact in EPW in his career.
MN: Impact Schmimpact, he’s done nothing, not that I’m a big fan of High Flyer, either, but I kinda have more faith in him to pull off the big win when it matters most.
[Fuse hits the ring and begins stretching out on the ropes, after a moment MUSICUP: “Crazy Train” by Ozzy Osborne and the crowd gives an ovation as High Flyer comes through the curtain, a large brace on his left knee, and bandages wrapped around his midsection.]
TF: And his opponent, hailing from Los Angeles, California…Weighing in at 225 pounds…HIGH!!! FLYER!!!
DT: You really have to ask yourself if High Flyer should even be in the ring tonight after that horrific fall he suffered last week, Stalker tried to end the man’s career…That was completely inhuman what we saw at Aggression 52.
MN: You call it inhuman, I call it glorious…Sometimes people need to learn a lesson, that if you’re gonna reach for the stars, sometimes you burn up, High Flyer paid that price last time, and since I hate both these guys, I wish only for more awful injuries in this match also.
[Bell rings.]
DT: Fuse bullrushes Flyer into the corner and now fires away with a series of shoulders to the stomach, attacking that bandaged section of Flyer’s body…Fuse whips Flyer HARD into the opposite corner Flyer crumples to the mat from the impact of hitting the corner.
DM: Poor ring positioning by Fuse there, he whipped Flyer into the corner near the door, if he’d done the opposite he might have an escape chance.
MN: We’re 30 seconds in Matthews, Fuse isn’t thinking escape, he’s thinking crippling this guy!
DT: Fuse now grabs Flyer by the leg…DRIVES that left knee into the mat! Flyer howls in agony as Fuse now stomping away repeatedly on that leg.
MN: Flyer going to get mauled…Welcome to EPW new guy, enjoy the beating!
DT: Fuse pulls Flyer to his feet by his bad leg…ENZIGURI BY HIGH FLYER! That staggers the big man and High Flyer quickly gets back up, and now sends Fuse FACE FIRST INTO THE CAGE! Fuse stumbling away from the cage…FLYER WITH A INSIDE CRADLE!!!
ONE!!
TWO!!
NO!!!
DT: Flyer nearly got a quick pin there. Both men get back to their feet, Flyer ducks a right hand and connects with a flurry of punches, big drop kick by Flyer and Fuse is sent to the mat!
DM: But Flyer landed hard on that bad knee, maybe a dropkick wasn’t the best of moves for him in his current condition.
DT: Fuse getting to his feet first and he grabs that injured leg and slaps on a HALF BOSTON CRAB! Flyer trapped on his stomach under the big man, having that bad leg being pulled on with all the power Fuse can muster.
DM: Fuse has shown no mercy in this match, he’s exploiting every weakness he can in his efforts to win this match.
MN: Of course he is, this is King of the Cage, this is the biggest event in EPW, everyone wants to win this, and fair play and sportsmanship are deader than a doornail when you get inside that steel.
DT: Fuse wrenching that leg, Flyer makes it to the ropes, but they won’t cause a break. Fuse still pulling on the leg of High Flyer, who’s now pulling himself up by the ropes and FLIPS Fuse over onto his back! Well I guess that’s one way to escape that move! Flyer limps his way over to a corner as Fuse gets up…Fuse charges in on Flyer…GETS CAUGHT WITH A BOOT TO THE FACE! Flyer bursts out of the corner with a CLOTHESLINE that sends both men to the mat!
DM: You get the sense that Flyer has to find a way to get this match over with quickly, the longer he lets Fuse beat on him, the more likely that knee, or the internal injuries he suffered last week, are going to catch up with him.
DT: Flyer gets to his feet. He pulls Fuse up and pops him with a series of right hands…Flyer off the ropes, SPINNING HEEL KICK! Fuse knocked down…FLYER WITH A COVER!!
ONE!!
TWO!!
THR—NO!
DT: Fuse gets the shoulder up…Flyer gets Fuse back to his feet…Fuse sent to the corner…He hits hard…Flyer now calls for the door to be opened, he’s trying to escape!
DM: Flyer doing things correctly whips Fusenshoff to the side away from the door so he can now make an escape with Fuse out of the way!
DT: The door is open, Flyer through the ropes onto the apron…he’s got a foot on the steps…FUSE TACKLES HIM! Both men now fighting with the door open, either man could make a move and win this match right now!
DM: This is almost exactly how Anarky and Karl Brown ended their match…Will these two men keep fighting here or will one of them decide to try to get this match back into the ring.
MN: I say go for broke, victory is merely a step or two away, go for it you wimps!
DT: Flyer breaks free, he’s almost out! FUSE GRABS THAT KNEE BRACE AND PULLS FLYER BACK INTO THE RING!! Flyer was so close there, but now the Zane Gate is shut…Fuse still holding onto that leg…TURNS FLYER OVER INTO AN ANKLE LOCK!!
DM: I don’t know if Fuse has the proper technique for that hold, but he assuredly is strong enough to just twist Flyer’s ankle till it, or his knee, pops.
DT: Flyer in a world of hurt in the middle of the ring now…Flyer flips over to his back, Fuse kicking the bad knee now! Flyer uses his legs and pushes Fuse away from him…High Flyer gets to his feet…GETS KNOCKED OVER BY A CLOTHESLINE! Fuse used the distance that Flyer created to his advantage and just took High Flyer’s head off with that shot!
DM: While a lot of Fuse’s offense has been devoted to the knee of High Flyer, he’s shown he can still take control of this match with one violent strike, and there he just blasted Flyer.
DT: Fuse pulls High Flyer up to his feet…Flyer sent HARD into the steel cage…Flyer staggers into Fuse…SIDEWALK SLAM BY FUSE! HE COVERS!!!
ONE!!
TWO!!
THR—NO!!
DT: Fuse almost had it…Flyer fighting on pure guts at this point!
MN: Guts that got mashed up pretty friggin’ bad last show, and now he’s getting beaten up even worse, last time it was hospital, this time it could be cemetery!
DT: Fuse pulls Flyer to his feet and now slaps on a BEARHUG! High Flyer getting his insides crushed by Fusenshoff…Flyer trying to fight his way out of this hold…Flyer firing with right hands, trying to get free…FUSENSHOFF LIFTS HIM…BELLY TO BELLY SUPLEX! FUSE WITH A COVER!
ONE!!
TWO!!
THR—NO!!!
DT: Flyer clutching at his stomach, he’s in a world of hurt here but he keeps on fighting…Fuse stomping away on High Flyer…And now, wait a second, Fuse going to the outside…What the hell is he doing?! He’s going to the top rope!
DM: Well he did win last week by coming off the top of the cage onto Cameron Cruise, maybe we’re seeing the new risk taking aerial daredevil phase of Fusenshoff’s career.
DT: FUSE OFF THE TOP…FLYER MOVES!!!
MN: Or we’re seeing Fuse being an idiot again…Well not that him being dumb is anything new.
DT: Both men down…Flyer getting to his feet, Fuse getting up…Flyer catches Fuse with a kick to the gut…COLD SNOW DDT!! FLYER STUCK HIM! A COVER!!
ONE!!
TWO!!
THR—NO!!
DT: Kickout by Fuse! Flyer gets to a mount and punches away repeatedly on the face of Fuse. Flyer now going outside…He’s climbing the cage now! He’s to the top of the cage!
DM: Flyer has a clear path to escape, but I think he’s looking to dish out more of a beating to Fuse!
DT: I think you’re right Dean…Flyer measuring…WAIT!! STALKER CHARGING OUT TO RINGSIDE!! [Boos!] What is he doing?!
MN: He does whatever he wants, he’s Stalker and he runs things!
DT: Stalker now standing on the side of the cage where High Flyer is…OH MY GOD!!!! HIGH FLYER JUST JUMPED OFF THE TOP OF THE CAGE AND HIT STALKER WITH A CROSS BODY!!!
MN: That idiot just tried to kill himself and take Stalker with him!
[Bell rings! MUSIC UP: “Crazy Train” by Ozzy Osborne.]
TF: Here is your winner, via escaping the cage…HIGH FLYER!!
DT: Fusenshoff got to his feet and now sees what High Flyer has done, I don’t think he can believe it.
MN: I can’t believe it, what is this nut trying to pull?!
DT: High Flyer slowly back to his feet and he’s staggering to the back…Stalker on the ground clutching his mid-section…What an crazy ending to a hard fought match…We’ll be right back fans!
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~

The large man known by many names in his life, the craziest bastard in wrestling was just one of them was sitting by a bunch of crates looking at Barb, his steel chair wrapped in barbed wire. He nodded several times as it was well documented that he may even talk to this inanimate object. Omega still wore the straight jacket that he was placed in when the Asylum came and took him away, by Dan Ryan's orders. But this crazed man appeared at Aggression fifty-two and attacked Copycat of all people. What was his motive behind the attack and did he escape from the mental hospital?

"Yes Barb, they have come back and they feel we all need to be on the same page if we are going to continue our mission."

"It is good to see you again. I know Stalker and Black took good care of you while I was away."

Suddenly a figure with a two by four in hand took a shot at Omega driving the board square into Omega's back and neck area. The person that was attacking Omega was an unrecognizable kid with shaggy brown hair. Why was this kid attacking a man that probably outweighed him by two hundred pounds. The blows to Omega's back seemed to have little affect as the monster continued to take shot after shot.

"Who is that attacking you, Omega?" The big man looked down at his chair and than said "I'm not sure."

While this kid was still attacking him Omega suddenly got another gleam in his eye. "We want you to destroy this kid Omega, make him an example."

Omega smirked as he gripped Barb very tightly and with one quick motion turned around to see his attacker. It was a teenage kid. Omega's expression never changed as the kid now dropping the two by four looked terrified. What was this kid thinking? Well it didn't matter because Omega took the steel chair and wrapped it around the kid's head with a sickening thud. He looked drown at the kid and reveled in his handwork. Blood poured from the top of the kid's head as officials and EMTs cautiously moved Omega away from the kid. The monster reached down and picked Barb up from the ground smiling the whole time.

"This is why we all need to be on the same page. Together we equal destruction." Omega said as the officials continued to move the maniac away from the scene.

KOTC Round 2: Anarky vs. The Heirs of Wrestling (c)

[Cut to the ringside area. The ring crew has just disappeared from sight, making their final touches to the steel cage, making sure that everything is nice and proper for when blood is possibly spilt and bones could possibly be broken.]

DT: Ladies and gentlemen, the next contest is going to be the most unique out of any of the King of the Cage qualifiers yet. On top of getting to the semi-finals, it’ll be Anarky wrestling by himself FOR the EPW Tag Team Titles against one of the Heirs of Wrestling.

DM: What he means by that is Anarky doesn’t even know WHICH of the Heirs he’ll be fighting. He could compete against the brawling style of Frank Pierce, the powerhouse Mack Brody, or the quickness of Ryan Gallway.

MN: Heirs for the win, circle gets the square and no money, no money, big whammy, STOP!

DT: …Mike, a Whammy is a bad thing.

MN: …Go, Heirs!

[CUE UP: “More Human Than Human” by White Zombie. The curtains part as the fans of Michigan start to show some love for the man coming out through the curtain.]

TF: Ladies and gentlemen... the following contest is a QUARTER-FINAL MATCH in the KING OF THE CAGE TOURNAMENT! Introducing first... hailing from Hartford, Connecticut... he weighs in at 231 pounds... HERE IS... <b>ANARKY!</B>

DT: Listen to this reaction! It seems these fans have taken to Anarky in the last couple of weeks. He put up a fantastic performance in his match last week, knocking off not just anybody, but TV Champion Karl “The Dragon” Brown!

DM: That’s right, Dave. But tonight, his opponents have the element of surprise. It’ll be interesting to see how he’ll adapt.

MN: Probably the same way he always quote-unquote adapts… stay criminally insane and will probably hang out at a morgue after the show if he wins for a celebration party.

[Anarky surveys the insides of the cage as he paces about the ring. He doesn’t appear to be very concerned with either the Heirs or his current predicament. In fact, a smile crosses his painted face as he kneels over, ready to take on whatever his opponents can throw at him.]

DT: AND HIS OPPONENT…

[CUE-UP: “Golden Dawn” by Gospel. As the sounds of gritty techno beats reverberate throughout the venue, all three Heirs of Wrestling march towards the ring. Alexandria Malone holds onto the actual EPW Tag Team Championships while Frank Pierce, Ryan Gallway, and Mack Brody all walk with a purpose.]

TF: Making their way to the ring from a quiet Spring residence in Seattle, Washington… he is one third of the EPW Tag Team Champions… weighing in at 330 pounds… HE IS… <b>MACK BRODY!</b>

DT: Well, there’s our answer! They’re throwing the muscle of the Heirs into the ring against Anarky, which can’t help his chances any. Anarky has the experience edge, but Mack Brody is an unknown quality in this environment.

MN: Are you kidding me?! He’s got muscles in places that people can’t even pronounce! He’s got 23-inch biceps, 56-inch chest, 20-inch neck, 30-inch thighs and can benchpress six-hundred easy! He’s going to eat him alive!

DM: …

MN: Don’t look at me like that, I can do homework, too.

[Inside the ring, the look on Anarky’s face doesn’t change, even with his opponent being the equivalent of a MONSTER. Alexandria, Frank and Ryan sit idly by, watching Mack Brody climb into the ring. As he gets inside…

DT: And here we go! The match has officially begun with the ref shutting the door and already, Anarky is taking the fight to the big man. He’s throwing everything that he has at The Bronze Bomber!

DM: That’s about all he can do! He needs to keep the match at his pace and keep hitting and running against him if he’s got any hope of winning the Tag Titles and advancing in this tournament.

[Sure enough, Anarky goes to town, throwing fists to the big man before switching to kicks, keeping Mack Brody cornered. Frank, Ryan, and Alexandria all protest to the referee, but it does them no good as he keeps throwing blows.

The fans rally firmly behind Anarky as he sees an open opportunity and starts to run towards the opposite side of the ring, trying to make a quick escape!]

DT: Very smart on the part of Anarky! He’s got a good opportunity and you’ve gotta think that he’s trying to save as much energy as he can! There’s still two rounds to go after this!

MN: UH-OH, HERE COMES TROUBLE!

[Before he can get too far, Mack Brody is already back on him tenaciously, grabbing him by his jeans and YANKING him off the top rope, sending him crashing back to the canvas. Slowly, Anarky rolls to his feet, but Mack Brody is already there, beating his chest and roaring like an animal.]

Brody: IT’S OUR TIME! YOU UNDERSTAND ME?! IT’S OUR TIME NOW!

DM: Mack Brody is playing for keeps here tonight! The Heirs have made their presence felt with this almost lackadaisical nature, but I have to respect Brody for understanding the gravity of this match.

DT: They’re already the EPW Tag Team Champions, but with this tournament, they could very well be the EPW World Heavyweight Champion! How would THAT work?!

[For the first time in this match, the look of concern crosses the face of Anarky for all of a second before he throws right hands at the big man, trying to send him back. Giving up over half a foot and nearly a hundred pounds, he has no choice but to fight back as he now throws kicks to stop the big man in his tracks. He gets a solid run off the ropes, but eats a SICK Bicycle Kick that nearly turns him inside out!]

MN: There we go! That was AWESOME. He almost kicked Anarky’s teeth right down his throat!

DT: And here goes Mack Brody into the cover!

ONE!

TWO!

TH… NO!

DM: Anarky got the shoulder up, but now Mack Brody has control here. OOOH! And he’s got over the shoulder and just barrels him into the corner! And now, a couple of shoulder blocks in the corner for good measure.

DT: He got up a good fight coming out of the box, but Mack Brody and his clear size and strength advantage have put him ahead for the moment.

[Mack Brody takes some time pressing a boot right into the face and throat of Anarky, scraping off some of the facepaint in the process. After he’s satisfied with the end result, he dumps Anarky into the middle of the ring with a scoop slam before coming off the edge and raining down with a BIG Splash! He goes for another cover!]

ONE!

TWO!

THR… KICK OUT!

MN: Oh, give it up, Anarky! He’s going to wipe the floor with you.

DT: And now, Mack Brody with the advantage, slamming Anarky’s head into the turnbuckle! He’s got the firm advantage now and another right hand knocks him for a loop!

DM: I can’t believe this, but Mack Brody has been controlling the early going of this match, outside of the beginning offense that Anarky threw. He’s gotta think of a way to get himself out of this predicament.

MN: OOOH! There’s one way to do it!

[A classic Greco-Roman eye gouge from Anarky finally stops the giant in his tracks, sending him staggering back a few steps. Seeing a good opportunity, he goes low and dropkicks the left knee out from underneath Mack Brody. He follows it up with a snap DDT right in the middle of the ring and goes for the cover!]

ONE!

TWO… NO!

DM: GOOD LORD, WHAT A KICKOUT! Mack Brody just threw Anarky off him like he was a scrap of paper!

DT: You’ve gotta give it up to Mack Brody. On paper, this match would possibly favor Anarky, but he’s such a big, strong freak of nature.

MN: And he’ll rip him apart!

[Anarky stays on Mack Brody, drilling him in the temple with loads of right hands, doing everything that he can to keep the big man off his game. He grabs Mack by the head and maneuvers the big man face-first right into the cage!]

DM: OOH! And this is the Anarky that we know! He just slammed him right into that steel and… OH! One more time!

MN: He’s baiting him, that’s all! Mack Brody is going to waste this douchenozzle!

[With The Bronze Bomber kneeling over for the moment, Anarky blasts him with another set of rights before he starts to try and escape out the cage door. The referee on the outside tries to open the door, but Frank Pierce shoves him out of the way, keeping it shut. Anarky glares through the cage door, but there’s nothing he can do.]

DT: Damn them! Pierce just may have cost Anarky the match! The Heirs are gonna do whatever they can to try and get Mack the win and retain their EPW Tag Titles!

[Ryan Gallway tries to climb the cage of his own accord, starting to climb. The former HOPE member sees this and throws a swift kick right to his fingers, smashing them into the cage! The World Warrior goes falling off the side, holding his left hand in pain!]

DM: I can’t blame Anarky for that! He’s pretty much fighting for survival!

MN: But do you realize they have no rival? No man can be their equal?

DT: …Really? Queen!

[The distraction from Gallway gives Mack Brody enough time to completely LEVEL Anarky with a stiff Clothesline from his arm, sending him spinning in mid-air before colliding with the canvas.]

DM: Good GOD! Mack Brody just turned him inside out and back again with that shot!

DT: And now, here goes Mack Brody, putting the boots to Anarky. He drills him with several more shots… LEG DROP off the ropes! Cover!

ONE!

TWO!

NO!

MN: Oh, just give it up, Anarky, nobody cares about you anymore!

[The “AN-AR-KY!” chants erupting from the crowd tell Mike Neely what’s up, but they do him no good in this moment as Mack Brody buries a few more body shots in to the veteran. He scoops him up and over the shoulder, looking to try and launch him directly into the mesh, but Anarky slips out the back door and shoves him into the cage!

He fights back, going low and kicking Mack Brody’s leg out from under him before getting a running head start off the ropes and BLASTING him in the temple with a forearm, crushing him between the cage yet again!]

DT: He’s staying on him, which is exactly what he needs to be doing.

MN: Not for long! He’s back on trying to get out of the cage!

[Anarky makes another attempt at a climb since Frank Pierce and Alexandria Malone have the door on lockdown. He gets close to the top of the steel structure before he feels a hand reaching out for him, grabbing him by the leg!]

DM: Mack Brody has him here! He got him with that kidney shot! Now what’s he gonna do?

DT: He’s thinking Powerbomb… uh-oh, if he hits this move, then Anarky won’t have to worry about the EPW World Title, he’ll be in traction!

[Anarky tries to hang on, but Mack Brody is still too powerful so he’s forced to then bury another supply of right hands into the big man’s temple. He finally lets go long enough for Anarky to land safely on his feet. He goes low yet again to try and bring the big man down to size, but this time, Mack Brody catches him over the shoulder. He runs forward and RAMS him violently into the turnbuckle, Oklahoma Stampede-style, but doesn’t stop.]

DT: And what’s Mack Brody going to... OOOOH! Anarky just got tossed head-first into that cage! He’s got to be down and out, ladies and gentlemen!

DM: He had Mack reeling, but yet again, Brody has surprised us with some skilled offense and rammed him right into the cage!

[Most of the facepaint that Anarky started with has been rubbed off by this point as a cut just above his right eye has formed. Mack grabs him by the leg and drags him to the center of the ring, hooking a leg in the process.]

ONE!

TWO!

THR… NO!

DT: Close call! Anarky is still in this, but at this rate, you gotta wonder how much longer.

DM: And Mack Brody with a big Irish whip into the corner…

MN: BOOM! BWAHAHAHA! Anarky just has what’s left of his brains rattled by Mack Brody with that Avalanche! He can’t take much more!

[A dazed Anarky is leaning up against the ropes by this point, with the corner basically keeping him up. Brody picks him up a second time and gets a good run before tossing his entire body right into the cage again!

The fans groan in agony at the velocity in which Anarky was hurled, but Mack Brody pays it no mind, instead pressing a boot down right into Anarky’s throat, keeping him pinned for the moment!]

DM: You’ve gotta wonder what Anarky has left! Mack Brody doesn’t work by the hour, but has clearly had the advantage most of this match!

DT: Anarky has to somehow find an opening or hope that Brody makes a mistake so he can capitalize.

MN: The only mistake Anarky made was beating Karl Brown last week! Now he’s in there getting tossed around by this gorilla!

[From outside, Alexandria and Frank yell for Mack Brody to finish him off while Ryan still nurses his injured fingers. Mack Brody slashes a thumb across his throat before picking Anarky up off the canvas. He starts to hoist him up…]

DM: Uh-oh! He’s going for his powerbomb, he calls it the Midas Touch!

MN: He’s gonna splatter him across the canvas… or check his brakes…

DT: And he’s got him over the shoulder… NO! Anarky just slipped out the back and now he’s climbing up the ropes again! He’s doing what he can to advance in the King of the Cage tournament! He’s almost up top!

DM: But here comes Mack Brody! He’s got him by the throat!

[Mack Brody goozles Anarky and starts to climb the ropes, now both men hovering dangerously close in high-risk territory. Mack has a dangerous gleam in his eyes as he looks hellbent on slamming Anarky damn near through the ring and to China…]

DT: ANARKY NOW FIGHTING BACK! He’s got him! He’s bouncing his head off those ropes!

DM: But Mack hasn’t let go!

[Mack keeps the hand wrapped around his throat until Anarky says “**** it” and jabs a thumb right into his eye. With the giant of the Heirs stunned, he kicks his leg repeatedly until Mack falls right onto the ropes!]

MN: NO! MACK’S BABYMAKER! HE NEEDS THAT TO PROCREATE AND POPULATE THE SPECIES WITH MANY JACKED MUTANTS!

DT: And now, Anarky has his best opportunity! He’s climbing up and he’s at the top of the cage! The Heirs are having conniptions!

[Anarky is up and taking a reprieve on the top of the cage, trying to regain his bearings. But the atmosphere changes. Out from the crowd, what he doesn’t see is a hooded man starting to climb up the other side of the cage. Anarky sees it and tries to fight off the attacker, knocking the hood off…]

DM: STALKER?! WHAT THE HELL IS HE DOING OUT HERE?!

DT: OH, NO! He’s got Anarky… NOOOOOO!

[A loud collision with the announce table sends a shower of wooden splinters, metal and circuitry exploding in every which direction. Static is heard as Thomas, Neely, and Matthews scatter from the vicinity where their announce table once stood.

High up above, a sick grin crosses the face of Stalker as he looks down at the damage he’s caused. Anarky went sailing right off the top of the cage and landed right into the announce table. The bell rings, signifying the end of the match as the Heirs look on in confusion.]

TF: Ladies and gentlemen… the Heirs are STILL your EPW Tag Team Champions of the WORLD… but the WINNER OF THE MATCH AND ADVANCING…

<b>ANARKY!</b>

DT: …Back? We back?

DM: …Yeah, I can hear you! What the hell is Stalker doing?! First High Flyer, now Anarky?

MN: …AWESOME! I HOPED I DVR'd that sh… UH… I mean… Anarky. Damn.

[Stalker climbs down from the cage as Frank Pierce tries to give chase, but to no avail as he disappears from sight. The Heirs convalesce and help Mack Brody up the ramp, EPW Tag Team Titles in tow. But as quickly as they disappear, the EMTs start to head down to ringside to check on the status of Anarky as we fade to commercial.]

KOTC Round 2: Layne Winters vs. Erik Black + "Contemplation"

TF: The following contest is a King of the Cage second round match! Introducing first…

[CUE UP: “I Don’t Know Anything” by Mad Season. The crowd jeer like crazy as the former TV champion casually steps from behind the curtain]

TF: Weighing two hundred and fifty pounds, he hails from Seattle, Washington…

New School… LAYNE… WINTERS!!!

DT: Big win in the first round for Layne picking up where he left off before Sudden Death.

MN: Getting screwed out of the title was never going to affect him, he’s way too damn good.

DT: I won’t take anything away from Layne, he beat Michael Bastard and he’s got a chance to get one over against one of his former challengers.

DM: He’d better do it quickly, I think I saw Erik oiling himself up to slip out of the door quicker.

[CUE UP: “Holy Mountain” by Sleep. The crowd give a mixed reaction as Erik Black steps into the fog and makes his way to the ring]

TF: And his opponent, weighing two hundred and eighteen pounds, he hails from the Hoosier Hempland of Indianapolis, Indiana…

THE DOPESMOKER… ERIK… BLACK!!!

DT: The last time we saw these two in the ring was as champion and challenger and neither walked away with the win.

MN: That can’t happen tonight, genius. And I already said, Layne got screwed by Shawn Hart!

DT: Let me finish, Mike. I was going to say that Erik Black gave everything Layne could handle at Sudden Death. These two’ve had a vicious war of words in the build up to tonight and I reckon we’re going to get an explosive contest.

DM: Winters is pacing in the ring, he looks like he wants to tear Black apart.

DT: Black in the ring, keeping his back to the door – there’s the bell and Black tries to climb out the door!

DM: That was… silly seems the right word.

DT: Especially as Winters just stormed across the ring and is hammering away on Black’s back! Clubbing blows to the small of the back, grabs him by the head – Irish whip and a fist to the gut flips Black over!

MN: Man… I don’t think he’s going to wriggle his way out tonight.

DT: Winters stalking Black – grabs him by the waist and a takedown. Floats over, hooks a facelock – ow! Hard knees driven straight into the top of the skull repeatedly!

DM: Erik was probably seeing stars or something already. That definitely won’t help him.

MN: It could clear his head.

DM: True.

DT: Winters rolls Black over, the cover but Erik Black quickly kicks out and scurries over to the opposite side of the ring.

MN: He’s quick.

DT: Black and Winters to their feet on opposite sides of the ring, Black’s taunting the former TV champ.

DM: Probably not a wise idea. Winters knows how to hurt you and unless Black’s quicker than a hiccup, Winters is going to catch him.

MN: Quicker than a hiccup? Damn you’re old.

DT: Black with his hand on the cage, Winters comes over, grabs him – Black ducks under. Off the ropes on the far side, under the clothesline and he’s on the cage! Vaulting off the ropes but Winters grabs the foot! Black trying to shake him off, Winters with a left hand to the knee, yanks Black down and a big belly to belly suplex!

DM: Erik Black seems to be making a habit of trying to win without doing anything.

MN: Why shouldn’t he?

DM: Because he’s going to get hurt doing it. Is it worth the pain?

MN: Why’re you asking me?

DT: Layne Winters in total control, grabs Erik Black by the arm. Full arm twist into a wrist-lock. Kick to the ribs, twists the arm again. I think Dean might be right, Black’s been so concerned with trying to escape the cage quickly he’s been on the receiving end of a lot of punishment tonight.

MN: Irish whip from Winters, Black goes down off the shoulder block. Winters off the ropes himself – misses the legdrop!

DT: The Dopesmoker showing the wherewithal that made him an escape artist, hits a somersault neckbreaker on New School.

DM: Is he actually going to try and weaken his opponent before trying to win the match? I’m in shock.

DT: He was part of a dominant tag team for years, Dean, so he can wrestle. Erik Black brings Winters to his feet, takes him back to the corner – Irish whip. Winters out of the corner, bulldog by Dopesmoker!

DM: And he’s calling for the Zane Gate to be open. Erik Black is going to try and escape the cage after a couple of big moves.

DT: Black quickly at the door, but Winters grabs the boot!

DM: Of course there is that – Black used the corner heading towards the Gate.

DT: Black jumping like a startled kitten as Winters grabbed the boot, Black with kicks to the head. Tries to get to the gate again, Winters is to his feet and he’s got Black by the head – rams him head first into the Zane Gate! Still holding the head, the gate’s being closed as he ties Black up in the ropes. Hammering away at the head, Layne Winters checks the ropes, runs the ropes

MN: PHEW!

DT: WOAH! Erik Black NARROWLY avoided having his head taken off! Layne Winters with a Yakuza kick aimed straight at his head, and a enzuigiri from Black misses!

DM: I think he’s broken the lock on the gate!

DT: What?

DM: I don’t think the lock had been put back on properly yet and the force of that kick has forced the door open.

DT: The referee’s trying to sort out the door, Erik Black is on the receiving ends of hammering forearms. I think Winters is favoring his ankle, Dean?

DM: A little bit, his winced as he put his pressure on the ankle on that scoop slam. Back to the Gate a minute, the referee’s holding it closed with his hand, I don’t think it’s going to survive the rest of the night.

DT: Erik Black might not survive either. Layne Winters can’t see the door’s broken, knee to the throat of Black.

One!

Two!

Kickout by Dopesmoker, and Winters looks mad.

MN: Maybe he wants to win as quickly as possible, ever thought of that?

DT: I think that’s standard for wrestlers, Neels.

MN: Bah.

DM: Layne Winters with a side Russian leg sweep on Black, follows it up with an elbow drop. Rolls his ankle as he gets back to his feet, Black’s rolled against the cage.

DT: And Winters making sure the Dopesmoker doesn’t try and climb out of the match. Right hands, drags him through the ropes – sidewalk slam!

One!

Two!!

Kickout by Black again.

DM: The former TV champ looks dominating – it could very well be him against Sean Stevens very, very soon.

DT: Brings Black to his feet, Black with a thumb to the eye. A chop to the chest by Erik, off the ropes – tilt-a-whirl no! Headscissor takedown by Black on Winters, I thought Black was going to be taken down!

DM: Winters is holding that ankle again – did he sprain it when he hit the canvas just now?

MN: Who cares? That was a fun move!

DT: I thought you hated flippy?

MN: When it’s High Splatter. Dopesmoker’s cool.

DT: Black quickly over to the cage wall, he’s almost at the top before Winters grabs the boot and climbs up with him.

MN: BOO!

DT: What’re you doing, Mike?

MN: Seeing if one’d get scared and fall off the cage. They didn’t.

DT: Layne Winters ramming Black’s head into the cage, Black with a thumb to the eye and retaliates, Winters’ head into the cage. Winters hanging by one hand, Black with elbows trying to force him down, Winters…

DM: GERMAN SUPLEX!!

DT: HOLY COW!

DM: A unique version of that move, he felt he was going but he grabbed Black by the waist and a very sweet German suplex off the cage wall!

MN: Now THAT was impressive!

DT: The referee’s checking both men, that was a big move, if Layne can get his arm across Black I think this match is over!

MN: Nah, Black’s got a higher pain threshold.

DM: But he’s winded. I wonder if he’ll be able to kick out.

DT: Layne Winters first one to move, he’s calling for the Zane Gate to be opened – but Erik Black’s stirring. This could be close.

DM: Winters kicking out at Black, Dopesmoker climbs over Winters though, almost at the Gate.

DT: But Winters catches him! Stops him in his tracks. The Gate closes, Winters and Black trading right hands, knee lift from Winters.

DM: Irish whip, and a back body drop near the corner.

DT: Waiting for Black to get up, I think he wants to end it with one move!

DM: Black to his feet, Winters – Green River

DT: Black slips out! Black behind Winters, goes for the Gate, Winters grabs him and smashes him with a forearm smash. Black against the ropes, Winters off the ropes, clothesline

MN: What on earth?!

DT: Erik Black just toppled out of the door?!?!

DM: Layne Winters has just been screwed! He didn’t know the Gate was damaged and he just sent Black to the outside!

TF: The winner of the match, by escape through the ZANE GATE…

DOPESMOKER…

ERIK!! BLACK!!!

DT: Layne Winters is furious in the ring.

DM: Can you blame him? I don’t think anyone told him the Zane Gate was being held by hand, the referee trying to explain that the lock got broken by Winters’ Yakuza kick.

DT: Black is just realizing what happened, a very, VERY lucky win tonight HEY!

DM: Stalker!!

MN: Again?!

DT: Stalker slamming the cage door into the back of Erik Black – what’s going on?

DM: I don’t think even Stalker can answer that one. It’s an attack but I don’t know why he’s doing it.

DT: Stalker stomping away on Erik Black, I thought these two were friends? Right hands on Black, rams his head onto the cage wall – and he’s got the cables from one of the cameras!

DM: This isn’t good.

DT: Stalker wrapping the cable round Black’s neck, Layne Winters is just heading to the back – what on earth is Stalker hoping to achieve?!

DM: Pulling the cord around Black’s neck, he’s leaning, I think he wants to hang him from the cage!

DT: He’s got an evil glean in his eye, we saw that against High Flyer before he sent him crashing down, Black is flailing in the choke, feet off the ground – the referee’s finally getting Stalker to let Black go, what does this mean?

[CLOSE-UP on Stalker, referee’s trying to force him back to the locker-room as he simply laughs as Erik Black tries to get his breath back]

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
(The unfortunate kid who attacked Omega earlier is being wheeled to an ambulance on a stretcher, unresponsive. As two medics prepare to lift the stretcher into the ambulance, EPW senior referee Pat Jones comes running)
Jones: Wait! Wait!
(Jones, out of breath, leans over the unmoving form of Omega's assailant, near tears)
Medic #1: Sir, we need to get this man to the hospital. He's been beaten very severely.
Jones: You don't understand! This is my son! Oh god, Aaron, what were you thinking?
Medic #1: Your son? Do you know why he was here tonight?
Jones: I have no idea! He's taking summer classes at college, so he isn't living at home with his mother and me. I had no idea he was even here until I saw ... until I saw what Omega did to him.
(Jones claps a hand over his mouth and winces, trying to fight back tears)
Medic #1: There were witnesses who said he attacked Omega unprovoked. Do you have any idea why he would have done that?
Jones: Of course not! If I knew what he was doing, if I understood, I could have stopped him! This is totally uncharacteristic for him. Oh please, Aaron, please be OK!
Medic #1: He'll be all right, sir. We just need to get him to the hospital.
Jones: If there's anything I can do, please let me help. I can't stand to see him like this.
Medic #2: He did have something on him. Maybe you can tell us what it means. It didn't make any sense to us.
(The second medic hands Jones a folded-up piece of paper, which he quickly unfolds and begins reading)
Jones: "You had a chance to do the right thing at Aggression 52, but you chose to cast your lot with a man who would continue to lead this business down a self-destructive path rather than with the man who would save it. Let this retribution for the wrong you did to me serve as a warning to you and all the rest of EPW. Be warned that far worse fates will befall those who would continue on a road that destroys this business rather than listen to reason. Your son has seen the righteousness of my ways and was a valuable resource in conveying my message. It is my hope that I will not need to use him again."
(Jones, with hands shaking, angrily crumples up the piece of paper)
Jones: Copycat. He did this.
Medic #1: I'm confused. I thought the man who attacked your son goes by the name "Omega."
Jones: Omega attacked my son, but Copycat ... Copycat was the one who did this to him, got into his head, I don't know. He ... he did it to hurt me.
Medic #1: We need to get this patient to the hospital now. I'm sorry about your son, sir. Our personnel here will give you any details you need on his status and whereabouts.
(The medics load the unconscious Aaron Jones into the ambulance, and after a few seconds, it drives off -- leaving only a confused Pat Jones)
Main Event:KOTC Round 2: WORLD TITLE MATCH: The First vs. "Triple X" Sean Stevens (c)
[FADEIN: The steel cage where Tony Fatora stands, ready to introduce the main event]
TF: The following contest is set for one fall. It is the final second round match of the KING of the CAGE tournament and it is for the EPW WORLD HEAVYWEIGHT CHAMPIONSHIP!
[Crowd pops!]
[CUEUP: “Happy Birthday” by The Birthday Massacre [EPW Edit]]
[The crowd pops LOUD! Muse walks through the curtain, holding the hand of The First, who follows behind her. First in a black “Outcast Hero” wife-beater, black gi pants and ring boots. He’s still wearing the blindfold from his promos, his face painted like Prince Nuada, he stands on the top of the ramp for a moment before grabbing and throwing the blindfold into the crowd, revealing his eyes]
TF: Now introducing the challenger…Hailing from Salem, Massachusetts, weighing in at 196 pounds…THE!!! FIRST!!!!!!
DT: This crowd going crazy here, The First with another chance to climb the mountain, another chance to finally capture the EPW World Title that has eluded him time after time.
MN: Another chance to get put in his place by Triple X! Another time for Sean Stevens to send this punk crying to the back with nothing but another loss!
DM: You know how close these contests have been Neely.
MN: And that only counts in horseshoes and hookers.
[First and Muse high fiving fans as they head to the ring, First runs up the ring steps, enters the ring and climbs the second rope, raising his arms to the crowd getting another pop.]
DT: This crowd is solidly backing The First, they believe tonight’s the night for him!
MN: Right, and Cavs fans thought LeBron was staying! Go ahead and lie to yourself that this clown is even in Triple X’s league, much less can beat him!
[The lights dim]
[SFX: Thunder, Lightning, Horses, Chariots, grunts, growls and other sounds of Gladiator-style war]
SCREAMING GLADIATOR: ….AND THE PROPHECY READ THAT ONE DAY, LIKE THE PHOENIX THAT ROSE FROM THE ASHES, THAT A BOY WOULD BE BORN UNTO A FAMILY IN THE SLUMS!"
[CUT TO: EMPIRE-tron. …as several images flash starting with an up-close photo of a blue-eyed baby – crawling, playing football, and basketball … things that babies generally do]
"THIS BOY WOULD GO ON TO USE THE KNOWLEDGE HE GAINED, WHILE FIGHTING FOR SURVIVAL IN THE STREETS TO BECOME A GREAT LEADER!"
[CUT TO: Several more images. The first was an older Sean Stevens, in amateur wrestling gear; in a cap and gown – signifying graduation. The scene then shifted to Sean in the audience, in what looked to be a wrestling arena, before cutting to the final image of Sean, in the middle of a death defying leap from a forty-foot high camera tower, as his foe – below – laid unconscious]
"AND IN TIME, THAT BOY WOULD GROW TO BECOME .... a KING."
[CUT TO: The very last image. One of "Triple X" Sean Stevens in the center of the ring, being handed a crown, tired, sweaty, yet triumphant]
[Suddenly, the EMPIRE-tron faded to black. And, for a moment, there was nothing but silence]
"Time to ride, n[BLEEP]."
[BOOOOOOOOM! Fireworks in the shape of an X shot to the roof, as "King Back," by TI blasted over the PA system, and Trip stepped through the curtain. He was immediately met with a chorus of boos – that he ignored – as he made his journey to the ring, in a 100% cotton "King of the Gladiators" t-shirt, black and silver tights, and a pair of millionaire "Gucci" sunglasses, which had minor drops of water on them, from his soaked light brown locks]
DT: You talk about your icons, you talk about your franchise players…this is the man right here.
DM: For sure. Triple X is the REAL McCoy. He lives for the big challenges, the big moments, and time after time he’s come through victorious.
MN: Half of those times being against The First.
DT: Well, he’ll have another shot tonight. Though this may be his final shot, as it’s hard to imagine he’d want to chase the title or Stevens after a fourth unsuccessful try.
[Music stops. Stevens hands the EPW World Heavyweight Title to the ringside referee before stepping into the ring. When he does, the cage door shuts and locks behind him as the ref hands the belt to the timekeeper]
[SFX: Bell rings]
DT: Here it is, WORLD HEAVYWEIGHT CHAMPIONSHIP on the line! First! Stevens! The FOURTH TIME these two will lock horns for the title, and Stevens rushes in right away with punches! Stevens…HAMMERING First! Rights! Lefts!
DM: The champ’s coming out on fire! He told me personally, this is the last time he wants to be in the ring with The First and will do WHATEVER it takes to put him away for good.
[First falls to a sitting position from punches; Stevens grabs the ropes and begins to stomp his chest]
DT: Stevens will not relent! Big exclamation point being made here in the opening minute. Trip grabs First…BIG Irish Whip into the turnbuckles!
[SFX: Cage rattles]
DT: And he follows that up with a dropkick! Quick hook of the leg…ONE! TWO! Kickout! Stevens fires a couple punches…hooks the leg again! ONE! TWO! Kickout! Drops a knee on the face! ANOTHER hook of the leg! ONE! TWO! And First kicks out.
DM: If it was anyone else setting the pace like this in a cage match, I’d say they should slow it up. But you’ve gotta think Stevens knows what he’s doing after being in this position time and again.
MN: Of course he knows what he’s doing! He’s the KING of the cage for reason, and this punk’s merely the court jester. A pretender to the throne, and don’t you forget it!
DT: So much on the line tonight aside from the big belt. The winner goes on to the bracket finals, THE FINAL FOUR. If First wins, we’re guaranteed there will be a new King in this year’s tournament.
[Forearm uppercut from Stevens sends First reeling into the corner]
DT: For Stevens, when you talk about the crown, you’re talking about something near and dear to him…perhaps even more important to evolution of Sean Stevens than even the World Title. It was in this very tournament two years ago that Stevens became King and from there, went on a historic title run that nobody has been able to end. Stevens with an IMPLANT DDT!
[Stevens looks down at First in disgust]
STEVENS: “F[BLEEP]K IT, I’m going out the door!”
DT: The champ announces his intention to walk right out of here. Could this be where it ends- a quick and embarrassing finish for The First? The official opens the door for Stevens, but here comes First! Spins him around, and here’s The First with punches of his own! And Stevens comes back with a left! FIRST ANSWERS WITH A RIGHT! STEVENS WITH A LEFT! FIRST…ANOTHER RIGHT!
DM: Welcome to the match, First!
DT: Speaking of welcomes, I’d like to welcome STALKER to the announce table, who will now join us for commentary.
STALKER: This is a match of great consequence to EPW, and it’s my pleasure to be this close.
DT: Big knee to the midsection from Stevens! He winds up…clothesline coming…NO! First ducks under and locks him in a full nelson!
[Stevens leans forward and dives to the ropes with First on his back]
DT: And now Stevens on the ropes…referee breaks the hold. First immediately off the other ropes…LOOK OUT! NO! STEVENS ANTICIPATED AND MOVED! First lands between the cage and the ropes! Stevens is ready, waiting…here we go…HERE WE GO! X-FACTOR! NO! FIRST DUCKS! CIRCUIT BREAKER! STEVENS ON THE MAT FOR THE FIRST TIME IN THIS MATCH!
MN: He’s going up the cage!
DT: The First is beginning to climb! Muse is on the outside shaking the cage!
MUSE: “C’MON! C’MON!”
[First pauses, looks behind him at Stevens slowly getting to his feet]
MN: What are you doing, idiot? Climb! CLIMB!
DT: No, First jumps off and NAILS Stevens with an axe-handle smash!
STALKER: Of course. He can’t win the title by climbing. You think he didn’t realize that?
MN: He can’t win the title PERIOD. We’ve been here before, Stalker, it’s written in stone. Brian Nadalny and the EPW World Title are not compatible. He’s better off running out the cage and hoping to God he wins the tournament.
STALKER: You know he hates being called Brian, right?
MN: Hey, I didn’t start the fire, Jason.
DT: Running bulldog from The First! A quick cover! ONE, TWO…Stevens kicks out! And you get the sense watching these two that it’s a race to fatigue the other man. No rests, no gamesmanship- one man will wear out, and that’s when the match will be won.
MN: But will they? Will one really wear out? These aren’t exactly 300 pound heavyweights we’re talking about here. Say what you want about either man, they’re both prime conditioned athletes.
[First executes a snap suplex]
STALKER: Every man has a breaking point- if not physically, then mentally. One could say First is at a psychological disadvantage, having failed to capture the title three other times, but perhaps the belt has become a burden for Sean? They say the crown is heavy.
DT: Irish whip, reversed by Stevens. He picks up The First…Fireman’s Carry! What’s he going to do? Wait a minute…
[SFX: Cage rattles]
[CROWD: “OOOOOH!”]
DT: He just LUGGED him into the cage between the ropes!
MN: Like a sack of potatoes! You see that?!
DT: First isn’t moving, and there goes Stevens up the cage at the other end! Could this be where the King climbs out and moves past his greatest rival into the Final Four?
[First begins to move, slowly]
DT: He’s almost to the top! The entire arena’s on its feet!
STALKER: The First isn’t quite dead…
DT: First’s on his feet, but Stevens has one leg over the top of the cage! HERE COMES FIRST! HE LEAPS AND GRABS THE OTHER FOOT! Stevens is looking down at First and now he’s grinding the knuckles in with punches, hoping to drop him back down! First won’t relent! He’s still up there!
MN: Can’t back down now. If First falls, he’s finished.
DT: First pulls himself up, and now he’s got Stevens by the hair! Stevens shifts his leg back to the inside of the cage. He’s stomping at The First’s legs, hoping to shake him off! First still has him by those golden locks!
MN: Well don’t admire them or anything!
DT: First lets go but delivers an elbow! Another one! Another! Stevens retaliates with a kick to the midsection! Both are hanging on for dear life! First catches Stevens by the leg!
[CROWD: “OOOOOOH!”]
DT: FIRST LEAPS DOWN AND PULLS STEVENS ONTO THE ROPES!
MN: Jeez, there goes Sean Stevens Jr.
DT: Stevens doubles over, and here’s another chance for First to climb or escape!
STALKER: The King of the Cage isn’t what he’s been chasing for over a year. It’s a means to an end, and the end game is that belt next to the timekeeper. Being here is the only way he’d get another crack at Stevens.
DT: True enough, because First has opted to drag Stevens in front of the turnbuckle. He leaps for a split-legged moonsault! ONE! TWOOOO! He didn’t hook the leg, and Stevens kicks out!
MN: Stalker, in your opinion, who’s going to walk out of here with the victory?
STALKER: Victory as defined by both men? If I were Sean, I would throw First out of the cage door and send him to the next round without the belt. What makes a King of the Cage is not the same thing that makes a World Heavyweight Champion.
DT: It looks like First is going for…for a piledriver, and this might be a mistake. First goes outside of his arsenal to hit a power maneuver on Stevens, and it doesn’t pay off! Stevens lifts him up, and SWINGS HIM forward onto the back of his head!
STALKER: Sean can dish out punishment with the best of them, he has experience in the cage, and has already beaten this man twice by pinfall…and that’s exactly why he’s at a disadvantage. The cage isn’t about who can inflict the most pain, but who tolerates it best. My nemesis who no matter how many times I beat him stands in front of me time and again…is not the man I want to meet in the cage.
DT: If there’s one thing Stevens cherishes other than his title, it’s his crown. Repeating as King of the Cage is a top priority for the champion, and there’s no way in HELL he’s relinquishing the crown to The First!
STALKER: Sometimes our most precious belongings contribute to our eventual downfall. The First will leave it to fate, Sean will always try to make and remake history, but I’ll be the one who writes the final chapter tonight.
MN: Goodie, so more divine Stalker intervention?
STALKER: I’ll leave it to the imagination.
MN: I gotta be honest, Reeves, I don’t have much of an imagination. I blame it on an uninspired childhood. You know what I mean, right?
STALKER: I think you should seek the proper help.
DT: SHOULDER FIRST INTO THE RINGPOST! STEVENS JUST SENT THE FIRST FLYING! And things look to be getting more and more violent! We’re getting down to crunch-time folks!
MN: Or as it’s known in Salem, “CHOKE-TIME.”
DT: Stevens picks up First first…STUN GUN! He cut his neck on those ropes, and now the official is opening the door for Stevens! He’s going for the quick exit! First is hurt, but he’s CRAWLING! Stevens is through the ropes…First grabs an ankle! He won’t give up!
[Stevens stomps on First’s head]
STEVENS: “F[BLEEP]K off me!”
STALKER: The First is zombie-like in his persistence, isn’t he?
DT: Stevens shakes him off, but right away there’s First with a waistlock. Stevens reverses! German suplex! He’s rolling for a second one…no, First blocks it! Stevens pushes him off. First turns around…CLOTHESLINE! He just got DECAPITATED! Stevens wastes no time, and gives First no quarter…he’s got him up by the hair right away. HERE WE GO!
[SFX: Cage rattles]
DT: SENDS HIM HEAD FIRST INTO THE CAGE!
[INSTANT REPLAY: Stevens barely gets First up for a press, and throws him like a dart into the steel cage]
STALKER: Nice display of brutality from Stevens.
DT: He’s going back up the cage! Could THIS be it? We’ve seen some near misses, but now The First is opened up and bleeding with no signs of movement! Stevens, almost at the top now! He’s got one leg over!
MN: The First doesn’t even know where he is! He’s in La-La Land, and Trip is a few steps from advancing!
DT: Both legs are over, HE’S GOING TO DO IT! First stumbles to his feet!
[Collective GASP from the crowd, sensing the match is about to conclude]
DT: First is dizzy, tripping over his own feet! He looks over and sees Stevens! He’s makes his way over to the cage and leaps up! HE’S LATCHED ON! Amazing he could even grab on with the state he’s in, but now he’s got to hurry! Time is not on his side!
STALKER: Sean had better hurry himself.
DT: He’s almost out of reach! First is at the top of the cage now…AND HE’S GOT HIM BY THE HAIR! UNREAL! HE’S STILL ALIVE! BUT EVEN THIS MAY NOT BE ENOUGH! CAN HE PULL HIM UP?!
MN: No! What are you doing, Trip? Keep climbing down! Make him chase you!
DT: Stevens is actually climbing up to meet First at the top! He’s probably thinking First can’t take too many shots to the head in the condition he’s in, and he may be right! If First falls from here, this match is as good as over!
STALKER: We could be witnessing the final showdown.
DT: Stevens fires away! Already First releases his hair! Stevens cocks back his fist again…BIG SHOT TO THE HEAD! FIRST HANGS ON! ANOTHER SHOT! FIRST IS HOLDING ON BY ONE HAND NOW!
[SFX: High pitched screaming among the crowd gasps]
DT: THIS IS IT! HE CAN’T HANG ON! HE CAN’T HANG ON! STEVENS COCKS BACK AGAIN; FIRST IS HOLDING ON BY A FEW FINGERS!
[SFX: HUGE POP!]
DT: GREEN MIST! GREEN MIST! GREEN MIST!
MN: WHAT THE…?!
STALKER: This cat just used his eighth life.
MN: That’s some Criss Angel Mindfreak sh[bleep]t right there! How’d he smuggle in the mist?!
DT: First musters all his strength to pull Stevens up a bit more, and now…WAIT A MINUTE! LOOK AT THIS! HE’S HOOKING UP FOR A SUPLEX!
STALKER: This could be a Pyrrhic victory for The First. If he can hit this, he WILL deplete himself.
MN: I think Muse slid that mist crap into the ring when we weren’t looking. I’m telling you, these two are like a couple of gypsies- they’re crafty.
DT: NO! He can’t lift him! Stevens giving him shots to the ribs! One more attempt! HERE WE GO! HERE WE GO!
[CROWD: “URRAAAAAAAAAAAAHHHHHH!”]
[SFX: THUNDEROUS SLAM!]
DT: SUPERPLEX FROM THE TOP OF THE CAGE! MY GOD! MY GOD!
MN: Suicidal…that was SUICIDAL!
STALKER: Suicide can be a necessary evil.
MN: Has anybody ever told you you’re like a really depressing Confucious?
[Stevens and First lay motionless in the center of the ring]
DT: Neither man is moving, this is unbelievable! The First hasn’t exactly snatched victory from the jaws of defeat, but he sure as hell knocked a tooth loose!
[10 seconds passes- nothing]
MN: …so is this it? Do we get a medical team or…?
DT: One man’s gotta get up. It’s the only way. This is KING OF THE CAGE, the most brutal event in the history of EPW! And tonight, you’re seeing why!
[The First coughs, moves ever so slightly]
MUSE: [V/O] “COME ON DUMMY! GET UP! GET UP!”
DT: First showing a little movement, Stevens still motionless.
[First tries standing but falls to his knees]
DT: Look at this! The First, CRAWLING toward the cage door! He might just go for the non-title win after all!
MN: Finally, he’s starting to use his head. Face it kid: the title’s not for you. Get your BS win, and get on with the tournament!
DT: The official opens the cage door, and First is right there! A few more feet and he’s home free!
MUSE: “LET’S GO! KEEP CRAWLING!”
[First pauses, wide-eyed, blinks a little. Desperation washes over his face]
DT: Wait a minute, he’s stopping! The First is a foot or two from victory, and he’s not moving!
MN: Man, this kid is making it REAL hard to root for him.
[First turns, sits on his butt for a second, and looks over at Stevens exhaustedly]
STALKER: The allure of that belt is strong.
DT: Perhaps no wrestler in EPW history has wanted it more! It is past the point of mission- it’s become an OBSESSION!
[First gets to his feet, SLAMS the cage door closed, angrily]
DT: He’s staying in! He’s staying in! He’s…huh? He’s going up?
MN: What, the door wasn’t good enough? He wants to climb over the cage now?
STALKER: I’m not sure that’s his intention.
DT: First is climbing the cage! He’s at the top now! What’s he going to do? He’s balancing himself at the very top! LOOK AT THIS! HE’S STANDING ATOP THE CAGE! HE’S GOING FOR IT HERE! IF HE HITS THIS IT WILL BE OVER!
MN: The kid’s certifiably NUTS, Thomas!
DT: HE’S GOING FOR THE BIG SPLASH FROM THE TOP! HE LEAPS! HE LEAPS!
[Camera flashes flicker throughout the building as The First leaps from the top of the cage]
[SFX: THUD!]
[CROWD: “OOOOOH!”]
DT: STEVENS MOVED! THE FIRST WENT FOR THE BIGGEST RISK OF HIS CAREER, AND FAILED!
MN: BIG F[BLEEP]KING SURPRISE!
STALKER: Sean played possum well.
MN: He knew the kid wasn’t going anywhere! Did you see what he just did? Stevens rolled over, flipped him off, and did you read his lips? He said, “I knew you’d be back.” THAT’S why he’s the champ!
DT: One heartbreak after another for The First, but it’s been back and forth the whole way through…and we still don’t have a winner! It’s anyone’s game, but The First is in dire straits with this momentum shift!
MN: They’ll remember this as the moment First sacrificed a shot at the tournament crown to lose yet ANOTHER title opportunity!
DT: Stevens pulls First up by his hair. First can barely stand. X-FACTOR! X-FACTOR! X-FACTOR! IT’S OVER! STEVENS DROPS TO HIS KNEES AND MAKES THE COVER!
ONE!!!!!!
TWOOOOOOOOO!!!!!!
THRREEEE!
NO! NO! THE SHOULDER WAS UP! IT WAS UP! THE FIRST IS ALIVE…STILL!
MN: I just…I don’t know what to say. This kid doesn’t know when to quit.
STALKER: Sean’s got to leave the cage. It’s the only way.
DT: No! He’s picking him up by the hair again! What’s the champ going to do now?
[Stevens picks up First, but First collapses to one knee]
STEVENS: “Get up! Find out why I’m the King, b[bleep]tch! GET UP!”
DT: First won’t die, but Stevens has an unlimited arsenal! He might damn well take his head before it’s all said and done!
[CROWD: “OOOOOOOHHH!”]
DT: X-FACTOR! ANOTHER X-FACTOR! THIS HAS TO BE IT FOR THE FIRST! NOBODY COULD TAKE TWO OF THOSE!
MN: WHAT?! Go for the cover! No! NO! Yell to him Stalker, he’s got the pin easy!
DT: Stevens is going to climb the cage! Two X-Factors, a missed splash from the top, and The First is dead on the mat! The pin or the door might’ve been the easier route, but it’s hard to imagine he won’t climb up and over at this point!
MUSE: [V/O] “NO! NOOOOO!”
DT: Sean Stevens, EPW World Heavyweight Champion, looks to retain and move on to the final four to defend his King of the Cage crown. He’s at the top of the cage, easy. The First hasn’t moved, NOT A BIT! Both legs are over, and now it’s a matter of climbing down!
STALKER: Excuse me… [SFX: Headset drops]
DT: Wait, where’s he going? Stalker looking to get involved in this match, but who’s side is he on?
MN: He’s on Stalker’s side, that’s who. You can’t trust him, you can’t predict him.
DT: Stevens is within dropping range- he drops, HE WINS. But now he looks back and sees Stalker.
[Inaudible verbal exchange between Stevens and Stalker]
DT: The two men are having what looks to be some heated words now. And look at this! Stevens turns to his side and has part of his back to the cage! It looks like he’s thinking about climbing up a bit, but his anger towards Stalker is only intensifying!
MN: Just drop! Who cares about the g*ddamn Stalker? Deal with him after!
DT: And look who’s up on his feet! The First looks completely dazed; it’s almost as if he thinks the match is over! He must have been unconscious!
MN: Uh oh, he sees Stevens! You better drop, Stevens! DROP!
DT: Stevens doesn’t see him, but does he have enough time to climb and catch him? It’s going to be near impossible to haul Stevens up from the bottom of the cage. But First DOES see him! He’s walking up to the cage, right behind Stevens! He could go out the door, but he won’t win the title! It may be his only option! WAIT A MINUTE!
[CROWD: “URRAAAAAHHHHH!”]
MN: What the hell’s he…holy sh[bleep]t!
DT: KATA-HAJIME! HE SLID HIS ARMS THROUGH THE CAGE WALL AND LOCKED STEVENS IN FOR A KATA-HAJIME! THIS IS INCREDIBLE!
MN: I’ve never seen anything like this. Never.
DT: STEVENS IS TURNING PURPLE! HIS FEET ARE ONLY A FEW INCHES FROM THE MAT, BUT IF HE LEAPS HE’LL BE HANGED! YOU TALK ABOUT YOUR MIRACLES, THIS COULD BE THE ONE FIRST NEEDED!
MN: Stalker’s laughing! That sick bastard!
DT: THE EPW WORLD HEAVYWEIGHT TITLE IS LITERALLY A FEW INCHES FROM BEING RETAINED OR LOST! CAN STEVENS’ FEET TOUCH THE GROUND IF HE SLIPS? IT APPEARS SO!
MN: He’s trying not to, though. He might be thinking First’s arms will get tired, which I think is a mistake. Leap! It’s your only shot! You’ll make it!
[CROWD: “URRAAAAAAAHHHH!”]
DT: STEVENS LOST HIS FOOTING! HE’S HANGING! HE’S HANGING! HIS FEET SCRAPE THE MAT! HE DOESN’T HAVE IT! HE’S STRETCHING HIS LEGS TO MAKE IT!
MN: HE DID IT! HIS FEET TOUCHED! THEY TOUCHED, I SAW IT!
DT: It looks like they might have touched, but no bell has rung! WAIT A MINUTE! HE’S TAPPING! HE’S TAPPING! STEVENS IS TAPPING! THE REF CALLS FOR THE BELL!
[SFX: Bell rings]
DT: WE HAVE A NEW CHAMPION! THE FIRST HAS SUBMITTED STEVENS! STEVENS GAVE UP! UNREAL! COMPLETELY UNREAL!
MN: BULLCRAP! His feet touched! You saw it, I saw it, the whole world saw it!
[CUEUP: “Happy Birthday” by The Birthday Massacre [EPW Edit]]
DT: What the hell is going on? The First’s music is playing, but no decision has been announced! Referee Pat Jones has the belt from the timekeeper, but ringside referee John Andrews is telling him not to award it. They’re now conferring, and Mike…I don’t know if we have a winner just yet!
MN: We need a replay on this. I could’ve sworn Stevens’ feet touched.
[INSTANT REPLAY: Stevens’ feet are scraping the mat as he taps. The hold is released, and his feet then touch]
MN: WOW.
DT: Well, clearly he tapped before falling to the ground, but the real question is “what constitutes a landing?”
MN: Right. Is this like the NFL where the ball needs to be secured before it’s poked loose?
DT: Huh?
MN: I mean…does scraping count as landing? Or does he need secure footing? Somebody dust the rulebook off.
DT: Alright, here comes Tony Fatora with the announcement.
TF: Ladies and gentleman, the finish is UNDER REVIEW. Senior Referee Pat Jones and Ringside Referee John Andrews will confer at the monitors and make their decision momentarily.
[CROWD: “BOOOOOO!”]
DT: Folks, never before in EPW history have we seen anything like this.
MN: Never.
DT: For the first time, an instant replay review will decide the fate of both the EPW World Heavyweight Title and a King of the Cage tournament match.
[INSTANT REPLAY: Again, Stevens’ feet scrape the floor, one at a time, just before he taps and eventually falls]
DT: We see there, his feet DO TOUCH, but it’s all about what constitutes a secure landing?
MN: I think you have to go with the champ on this one. It’s inconclusive.
DT: Alright it looks as if they’ve made their decision. They’re talking it over with Tony, and here it is…WHO WON?
[Building is near silent]
TF: Upon reviewing the finish, the referees determined that Stevens’ feet DID touch the floor before the tap...
[CROWD: “BOOOOOOO!”]
TF: …however, in order for there to be a landing, both feet have to be on the floor, toe to heel, which was not the case in this instance. Therefore, the winner of the match…
[CROWD POPS BIG]
TF: …AAAAAAAND NEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEWWWWWWWWW EPW WORLD HEAVYWEIGHT CHAMPIOOOOOONNNNN! THEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE FIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRSSSSSSSSSSSSSTTTTTT!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
DT: HE’S DONE IT! HE’S DONE IT! A YEAR AND A HALF, FOUR MATCHES, HEARTBREAK AFTER HEARTBREAK, AND THE FIRST ENDS THE NEAR TWO YEAR REIGN OF QUITE POSSIBLY THE MOST DOMINANT CHAMPION IN EPW HISTORY!
MN: I’m speechless. You’ll never see a finish like this again.
DT: LOOK OUT! STEVENS SHOVES STALKER, GRABS THE BELT, AND NOW HE’S IN THE CAGE!
MN: Maybe he wants to hand it to The First personally?
DT: NO! HE DECKS HIM WITH THE BELT! THE FIRST IS DOWN!
MN: …or not.
DT: Stevens is beating the hell out The First after what has to be the most disappointing moment of his career in the past two years! He simultaneously lost his belt AND his crown!
MN: The King may be dead, but he’s still haunting The First!
DT: Wait! Here comes Stalker with a steel chair!
[SFX: THWACK!]
DT: HE JUST LAID OUT STEVENS! WHAT IS GOING THROUGH THIS MAN’S HEAD? ALL NIGHT HE’S BEEN STIRRING THE HORNET’S NEST, AND NOW HE’S BUSTED IT WIDE OPEN!
MN: Don’t say Hornet. There are legalities involved.
DT: Stalker’s finally making an exit, Trip is laid out in the middle of the ring, and a bloodied, EXHAUSTED First is slow to his feet with the crown jewel of EPW in his hands- THE WORLD HEAVYWEIGHT TITLE! WE’RE WAY OUT OF TIME! WE’LL SEE YOU NEXT TIME!
[The First stumbles backward holding up the EPW World Heavyweight Title]
[FADE TO BLACK]
