X-NET announces a new kind of tournament. One that will set the bar for e-fedding. There will be no titles, this is all about bragging rights and winning $$$. It is open to CREATED wrestlers only...NO REAL WRESTLERS

You think you are the best in the game we play...You think you are that damn good? Put your money where your mouth is...Literally...or step off!!

Yes that's right, X-NET will host the first ever PAY TO PLAY tournament. Details follow:

First, this tournament is for the serious rper. It's a $5 US entry fee, and the top 4 (or top 6 if we get 128 entrants) wrestlers will be awarded a CASH prize based on the number of entrants. Here's how the prizes will break down, after X-NET takes 10% for processing and running the tourney.

1st: 50% of the pot
2nd: 30%
3rd/4th: 10% each

So say 64 people signed up...
That means X-NET would get $32 for operating costs, and payouts would be...
1st place would get $144
2nd place would get $86.40
3rd/4th place would get $28.80 each

Second, it will be a 64 or 128 player tourney depending on how many people sign up. This tournament is open to EVERYONE. You don't have to be in an X-NET fed to participate in this tournament.

Third, winners will be voted on by a panel of 5 judges.

Lastely, results will be summarized for this tournament.

Question:

Why are results written in summarized, which I see as short, form? Not to knock your idea mind you, but if people are going to "pay to play", shouldn't you have detailed written results for each match? Just curious, that is all.

We simply don't feel it is necessary to write detalied matches until we get down to the semi-finals and finals. Unfortunately, everyone on X-NET STaff has full time jobs, and due to time constraints we won't have the time to write results and read RPs. So we just decided to post the winners so we can devote our time to reading the roleplays.

That's all well and good, but that means that only three matches will be written for the entire card. Personally, I love reading results and feel that it's a reward for all the roleplays one does. I understand the part with real life, jobs, et cetera, but don't you think you're kind of shortchanging those who sign up for this?

I can understand some may disagree with me because you're putting money into it and you're just doing it for just the money in the end, but to be honest, tournaments as big as this are usually good with reading the matches. I guess I'm just having some wishful thinking.

I understand your point, and the best that we could possibly do, is include quarter finals as well. Believe me I like writing and reading matches too. Unless I get fired from my job, lol, i simply won't have enough time. Hopefully, the money rewards will be enough to spark interest.
