(The camera cuts out to a small resteraunt located in Sacremento, the camera follows Kelly as she walks in and sits at a table obviously awaiting the arrival of someone. A moment later, a young man in his early 20's-20 through 22-walks through the door wearing black cargo pants with yellow piping, a green and black Hurricane-"Whassup wit Dat?!" t-shirt, and white Lugz Targas. His shoulder length hair is shot through with streaks of black, purple and green. He appears to be one of the locals, but when he sees Kelly-he waves at her.)
Kelly: Hello Devon, nice to see you again.
Devon: Hey Kelly, got your call. What's up?
(The two sit down.)
Kelly: Well as you know we have some problems. We're trying to bring back MA yet we're opposed by Armen, Zieba, and Marcus. Needless to say we're outnumbered.
Devon: I'm just in the middle, as always.
Kelly: Yes, that's the problem...
Devon: And you want me to do what about it?
Kelly: To stand with Paul and I. I know Marcus is your father but he's blinded by jealousy. I left him and he wants to take it out on Paul. I'm sure you don't want him to end your uncle's career over something as riddiculous as jealousy do you?
Devon: Pasta or Steak?
Kelly: What?
Devon: Pasta or Steak, this place makes chosing food a damn hard thing to do.
Kelly: Oh, steak would be better...
Devon: Look, I've got my dad on one side and my uncle on the other. Sure I'm entering with the Boss into the fed-but I'm not saying which side I'm going to choose yet.
Kelly: Make your decision the right one then. Armen has Paul's wife and she's pregnant with his unborn daughter. Your father will side with Armen, it's a give in. Can you justify them keeping them apart by mind washing Jessica? Can you justify Armen claiming that Paul will not see his kid? These are things that should make your decision an easy one. Side with us...
Devon: Look, I've learned one thing from hanging out with Dusty Downs and that's look out for number one. Sure, I'll enter the fed-but from there on in I'll do what the f**k *I* feel like for once! When I first learned how to wrestle, Uncle Paul taught me the stuff I needed to know in order to win the OWA World Title, sure. But it was my dad who got me into the NWA.
Kelly: I hope you change your views then. For while Paul would love you to stand with us if you do stand against us you will suffer the same fate as Armen and your dad. He say's they'll pay even if he has to do it alone, and you know better than anyone he always does what he says he will. I would personally hate to see something happen to you all because you sided with your father. Your dad isn't worth it...
Devon: Don't threaten me, Kelly.
Kelly: I wouldn't threaten you Devon and you know it. You know Paul as well as I do. I'm simply warning you. You know that when he offers an alliance to someone he will watch their back no matter what but if they refuse they're considered an enemy. You're with him or against him, you know that Devon. It's always been that way.
Devon: I don't know yet. Hell, I don't even know why you left my dad yet and ontop of all this other ##### you know?
Kelly: You're kidding right? Your dad had a fling with a certain girl in another fed, I won't mention her name. You expect me to stay after that?
Devon: How do you know it was real or not though, true? I mean one of his major foes is Gaberial Poe after all. But still, you're reasons are your own. I might be persuaded though.
Kelly: Real or not he has no buisness with other women. I told him that when we first got together. I don't share men, even if it's wrestling related. What else can I do to persuade you though Devon? Armen's been trying to destroy everything your uncle's done and built. You know how much he loves Jessica yet Armen tore her from him. They then tried to have your uncle commited to a mental institution! You would actually consider standing by your father when he's gonna side with Armen?
(the normal "flighty" look on Devon's face is quickly replaced with one that he hardly shows anyone, one that's hard and cruel)
Devon: Kelly, let me remind you of one thing...
Kelly: What's that?
Devon: When have I ever taken sides in something?
Kelly: I don't know but you're sitting here right now saying you don't know who's side you're gonna take.
Devon: Nope, read between the lines Kelly-I'm saying you and my own DAD don't know what side I'm going to take.
(Kelly runs her hand through her hair and sighs.)
Kelly: Alright Devon, if that's the way it's gonna be that's fine. I won't beg you, I 've never begged for anything. You do what you have to do. Paul and I will do the same. I should've known better....
(Kelly stands, preparing to leave.)
Devon: Did, I say it was my dad's side?
Kelly: No, you sit here and play games just like your dad does. This isn't a time for games. Paul and I need to find help somewhere and if there's a chance you're not gonna do it we have to look elsewhere Devon.
Devon: How about this, there's a show after Genesis right?
Kelly: Yes...
Devon: I'll give you my answer then because I'm having some issues to deal with my dad. You and his relationship being one of them. The other was the whole thing with him leaving me alone in Japan while he went onto to win titles here in the States.
(Kelly sits back down.)
Kelly: I guess that will have to do then. Just really think about it Devon. I'm sure you'll come to the right decision....
Devon: Man, my life has been s**t since I left OWA. First the s**t in the BWA and now my family is feuding, just when everything was cool too.
Kelly: Your father made this a feud. He didn't have to get involved. It really isn't about family though, it's to bring back MA. Once MA's resurected things will return to normal again.
Devon: I hope so. But I do know one thing though. Soon enough, I'm going to be a champion in GXW, unlike my old man.
(Kelly smiles.)
Kelly: I don't doubt it.
Devon: But still, what if I do join up with Uncle Paul? What happens?
Kelly: Well, unfortunately, Paul will probably ask you to help him get Jessica back. For even if he wins his match at Genesis I doubt Armen will allow her to return, if she actually even wants to. Your uncle's so blind, he sticks by her no matter what yet all it took was a few words from Armen and she turned on him, just as your father will turn on him. From there we will start to bring MA back. Our goal is not to destroy your father and Armen, simply to ressurect MA. They will only suffer if they try and stop us.
Devon: Yeah, dad does have that over-delevoped ego.
Kelly: He certainly does. To think, this is all because I left him.It is unfortunate that things are going down this way though. Despite what you think I don't take pride in asking you to betray your father.
Devon: Yeah, thing is don't you feel like you're betraying him?
Kelly: You have to understand something Devon, I felt something for your father and maybe I still do. Truthfully I don't know anymore, I feel something for Paul yet he holds to Jessica. I also feel something for your father yet he did betray me. Wheteher or not it was for buisness or not is beside the point. For months I never even talked to Paul because I knew you're father was uncomfortable knowing our past, then he goes and hooks up with someone else. So, no Devon, I don't feel I betrayed him. Right now I'm sticking by Paul though, partly for that reason. He never judged me no matter what. He always stuck by me, even if it was simply as a friend. Even when it made Jessica mad he still helped me when I needed it. Something I can't say for your father.
Devon: How about this then, you help me and I'll help you. I want to overshadow my old man right?
Kelly: Yes.
Devon: Alright then, at...what's the name of the next show?
Kelly: Revolution
Devon: At Revolution then, not only will you know what side I'm on...but also my Dad will know also...
(Before Kelly can respond Devon gets up and leaves the resteraunt and as he leaves, a seperate shadow detaches it's self from the wall and follows Devon out)
