Here is our basic set of rules. I don't like to have too many rules, but the rules we have on this list are what we would consider to be essential to SSW.
1. Have fun. It's the most important thing. Why would anyone play if they aren't going to have fun.
2. This is another common knowledge one, but it has to be put down just because. Respect your fellow handlers and staffers.
3. This rule goes with rule 2. No whining about losses and such on the boards. Everyone loses sometimes. It's just the nature of a competitive game. If you have a problem with results or a fellow handler or whatever talk to the fedhead. Don't put it on the boards. Putting it on the boards just creates problems. If you are troubled by a loss the owner will be happy to go over your scores and what you could do to improve and will basically explain things to you.
4. Everyone's got questions. We're happy to answer them. So feel free to our friendly staff if you have questions. If a staffer can't help you on it the owner can.
5. We don't want to see racial slurs and such on the boards.
6. We encourage you to send in strats for your characters on the show. Strats can contain your match strategy, any segments you would like see on the show, commercials, attacks, and whatever else. All can be really helpful in getting your character as accurate as possible on the shows.
7. SSW is not sports entertainment. Thre are no pushes. There are no backstage politics with writers and owners telling wrestlers what their storylines are. Winners and losers aren't predertimined by a writer or owner. So we don't want people talking about gimmicks, pushes, jobbers, etc. We have an atmosphere we are trying to maintain with the place and would like you to keep with that. SSW is real fighting. Characters fight each other for stuff and the one who manages to out-fight the other is the winner.
8. Keep IC and OOC separate. We really do not want to see OOC stuff in an RP.
9. In RPs you do not have to talk about wrestling. You don't have to mention opponents. You don't have to trash talk. You don't even have to have your stuff on camera. Our reasoning behind this is simple: Almost every fed we've seen has everyone on camera and has a channel on tv supposedly devoted to just showing RPs/promos. Well if you look at the number of feds on the internet that would mean there is a billion wrestling channels showing wrestlers spending their time talking at each other and working out, etc. It just doesn't really make sense. I just don't see a channel being created to show wrestlers talk all day. Much less thousands of those channels. Nor do I see wrestlers wanting cameras on them 24/7 for their entire career. So write whatever you want. Be creative. Have fun. If you want to do the typical on camera stuff we're fine with that, but here you just don't have to.
10. Original characters only. No real wrestler names or names designed to be just like them. We don't want any Stone Cold Steve Austins or Rock Hard Mitch Dawsons.
If the need arises to have more rules we will address it then. I just prefer not to bog the place down with them. If you have any questions feel free to email us about it at: sswfedhead@hotmail.com
