    1) How much of a typical card do you read? Your match? Your match and the main? Whole thing?

I usually read my match first, then go back and read the results for characters that interest me. I'd love to read everything, but usually I'm pressed for time.

    2) How much does your answer to #1 vary between your home league and other leagues you follow?

    About the same...

    3) What would make you read more? Format? Shorter events?

I'd probably read more shows if they were shorter because it is mainly a time issue.

I tend to skip through to my match, read that first, then go back and read the whole thing straight through. If I'm not on the card I read the whole thing, normally in one go unless it's for NFW - it takes less time to read War and Peace than some of those cards. Good reads though.

    2) How much does your answer to #1 vary between your home league and other leagues you follow?
I only actually read leagues I've got characters in. I did try reading some other leagues but found I didn't have the time with everything else I do.

    3) What would make you read more? Format? Shorter events?
More time. I also think maybe some shorter write-ups; for a TV show if the whole thing would take more than 2 hours to air, my attention starts to wain. Long matches on free-to-air shows have their place, but putting a cap on the length of matches/segments/number of segments would, I feel, force people to write more concisely which I'm all in favour of.

    1) Ironically...I rarely read an NFW card from start to finish after posting. I've invested so much in putting it together and writing for it...that I just leave it all behind once its out there. I read everything before it's posted to make sure it flows well. In the CSWA or fWo, I'd usually skim the 'mediocre' writing and read the important matches/segs.

    2) Heh...answered in #1 without knowing.

    3) Better cardwriters suited to my style of reading, which might be impossible. JN's and GG's don't grow on trees.

Does this mean you're forming an upright citizen's brigade? Is that what I'm hearing?

INFRACTION FOR YOU!!! (My new gimmick.)

Because I'm a pillar of the community now, Chad. A civic-minded member of FWC; an upright citizen, if you will.

I would ask myself why I haven't banned more people over the years. And why I'm such a sucker and let people like Ferraro around again.

And I'd ask, "Did Brown trounce the Kennedy-wannabe yet?"

You know, the tag cloud reads "Chad asks Chad."

So, what would Chad ask Chad?

    1) Outside your "home league," what currently active leagues do you keep up with and to what extend (read cards, skim, check out news)?

Normally I have been trying to catch up with New Frontier so I can get a better taste of the history behind it.

    2) What inactive leagues would you check out in a heartbeat if they popped back up?

FMLL, good concept too bad it didn’t’ spark off the ground. Of course CSWA!

    3) What makes you add a league to your reading list? (The appearance of a familiar character? An innovative idea? Referral?, etc.)

I like a new idea, like NLW has instituted its great reading Billy and Stanton REALLY have amazed me when I read the cards because of the entertainment of the writing. It has that feel of LVW but on a higher level (no offense Mike).

CHAD ASKS ABOUT YOUR READING HABITS:

    1) Outside your "home league," what currently active leagues do you keep up with and to what extend (read cards, skim, check out news)?

    - New Frontier.

    2) What inactive leagues would you check out in a heartbeat if they popped back up?

    - The CSWA.

    3) What makes you add a league to your reading list? (The appearance of a familiar character? An innovative idea? Referral?, etc.)

    - It usually starts with a familiar character, then I'll check out a card and see the fedhead's way of running his ship, and if it's something that I think helps the hobby, I'm usually sold.
